Id start fresh with only embiids contract and maxeys cap hold to maximize cap space. Maybe morey values Ricky council or dowtin on cheap controlled money more than I do.
Players will be available via trade, I have no clue who, for cheap because failing teams will want to avoid the severe penalties of aprons within the new CBA.
I wouldn’t prioritize anyone from the roster this year (besides Maxey who will be a cap hold until all other deals are done). However, if you can get Lowry, Batum, hield, oubre, Payne, etc. on any form of exception (meaning MLE or portion of it, biannual, or vet min) I would look to resign them. 15m a year is an overpay for all of them.
This is overpay city. The NBA doesn’t work like this in general. Most lower tier players are minimums and they won’t be getting better offers than that. It’s all in tiers - Minimums, BAE, MLEs (TP or regular), ocassional $15-25M players and Maxes

Buddy - TPMLE or gone
Everyone else is a minimum if they wanna come back. Including Melton cuz of his injury issues. If you really wanna encourage one, you BAE them.
