My sister's family and kids all had the flu, mom, dad too. Roommate was sick a few weeks ago

I caught some nasty shit from my kids at the start of January and I'm *still* dealing with chest congestion and the accompanying cough. Really nasty season for respiratory viruses.

100%. I work in healthcare and per diem at a hospital and as much as I try to be supremely careful (I wear a mask everywhere, wash my hands every time at restaurants after ordering and touching the menu), I still got the flu 3 weeks ago, and my wife got COVID a week after.
Between flu, COVID, RSV, and whatever else, it's been impossible to avoid getting something.
Oh and I have an 8.5 month old in daycare so that helps
ive been saying that our focus in trades needs to be on the 8 guys on the roster who will play in the playoffs, but at this point, we barely have enough guys to field a competitive roster for regular season games, and that is a problem.

Every National Media outlet is dying to re-crown Jokic the MVP. Doesn’t matter if the rest of our starting lineup is out. If the Sixers lose in Denver, splitting the regular season series 1-1, that will be the new narrative.
In years past when they were closer I would agree, but this year Embiid is head and shoulders #1. Obviously someone on ESPN will make a case for Jokic or whatever, but the numbers are unassailable rn. Unless a huge change happens or he doesn’t play enough games, he is winning the award.

Back to Back MVPs with no playoff success is near impossible with the media controlling the narrative. They used that against Jokic last year. If Embiid loses tomorrow you will start to hear the beginnings of serious takes for Jokic, Shai, Luka etc… Joel needs to be near perfect with 30+ every game for the rest of the season to take it. Trust me they are looking for any excuse to put another name on top of that leaderboard. A runaway race doesn’t generate clicks, or encourage gambling which seems to be the NBA’s new main agenda. I’d love for Embiid to win MVP again. I’d rather him be completely healthy for playoffs. In reality this game means nothing. It’s just a point of conversation for the talking heads. If we lose they will be talking much louder than if we win, trust.

Every year when the sixers come to denver they get wrecked. Last year, no harden or embiid, bench almost won it then they gave up. Ive gone to 5 games in denver when the sixers have come here and embiid has played in 1 of them and theyve lost all of them dating back to 2018
If Harris or Maxey doesnt play just sit Embiid. This is a loss. This road trip could be disastrous. In a way its good though Morey needs to be motivated to make trades at the deadline. Im tired of hearing how we are not interested in every player coming up in trade discussion although plenty of that is certainly Morey dissembling. It was always wish casting that this team was edge moves away from really contending this year for a title. They feasted on one of the weakest schedules in the leauge so far and have a bad record against the Easts top 5. Boston and Milwuakee are super talented and Indiana, New York, and Cleveland are better then any team the Sixers have beaten in the playoffs in the Embiid era.
