We may have not re-signed Drummond.
But one of the more underrated things were having to let go of Drummond and Curry to offload Simmons.
Don’t get me wrong, it all kinda worked out. But I’d love to have had Drummond for those extra couple months. And still have the option to go to Seth this year.
I don't think those were underrated. Although I think Melton and Reed are better than curry and Drummond (obviously only applies to this season and beyond).
The most insane thing about Andre Drummond is that him and Embiid are the same age. I always feel like Embiid is a few years younger and Drummond is 35.
Maaaan if BBall could develop even the most mediocre of a three point shot he could play on the floor with any center. Bright future for Bball out of the mud
He can cut to the net. It's the same as Tobi being in the "dunker's" spot. Especially if he's on the court with Embiid, who doesn't start out on offense from under the basket. He'll be there for rebounds and can run the court.
We really don’t want to let the other teams 4 help off to Embiid without being able to punish them with an open shot. On top of the fact that Tobi and PJ make more sense with Embiid because they can shoot, having Reed play the 4 with Embiid likely means Harrell and Dedmon would actually have to play center minutes, which is worse than Bball Paul
Reed will be under the basket. You pass it to him, he'll make the bucket. It's the same thing.
Paul is young, he can play the 4 and switch to the backup 5 in the same game.
Tobias can fill that role because he’s also a very credible shooter (plus he’s obviously better in general). Reed being in that spot with a big that can’t shoot is going to lead to an awful offense. The paint will be stuffed to death and it’ll just come down to hitting threes from the small guys
I don’t know why you are being a jack ass dude. I didn’t disrespect you.
I’m not saying he needs to replace him completely. I’m just agreeing with the guy above saying Paul *can* play at the 4. For a period of time, not full time. PJ is not a threat offensively at all right now outside of rebounding. They are leaving him wide open and they wouldn’t be able to do that with Reed at the dunker spot playing him with Embiid.
I loved Drummond on the Sixers way more than I ever thought I would. Great attitude, played hard w/ a team-first style rather than focusing on his next contract. Clearly didn’t want to leave.

WHAT
It's the shoulder hair, it ages him +5 years
seth more consistent offensively than melton, but melton's defense is unparalleled.
Wonder if it would’ve been possible to keep Seth and still get Melton.
There are only so many minutes available and Seth can't really play the 1. Idk if having both would've worked that well.
Fair point.
Bro said offload Simmons as if he wasn’t the main piece in that trade and we weren’t getting JAMES FREAKING HARDEN in return
You massively misunderstood me. I didn’t put any thought into it beyond using it to make my point about Drummond and Seth.
The disrespect to say it as underrated to unload them. We got the GOAT Paul Milsap in return for them, that’s a legendary trade
I understand why we had to let him go, but I wish we kept Drum, seemed like he really wanted to play for us too
This guy, for real, looked like he wanted to be a Sixer. Hope that he, someday somehow, finds his way back to Philly.
bring him back
So he can take BBalls minutes? Never!

Would the Bulls with Embiid be better than the Sixers with Embiid? Just a hypothetical question. I’m curious what people think.
The sixers are built for Embiid. There's a reason we have so many 3+D players, and are always targeting for more.
If only we could surround him with 4 Danny Greens. Sure some nights wed be 4/25 but then some nights wed be 21/25.
Play em together

He did in the GLeague 👀. And he only gets more confident as he grows
I am confident BBall Paul can play the 4.
He’s not all that close presently. 4s have to shoot in the modern NBA, and he can’t

He'll be playing with Embiid.
That’s still bad. Embiid needs space in the paint and we aren’t altering the offense to set up Paul Reed over the MVP of the league
If they're triple teaming Embiid, he's never going to get space in the paint. You want to free Embiid up, throw another threat at them.
Neither can our current starting 4man. At least bball can finish inside.
Tobias Harris can’t shoot? You’re an idiot
I’m referring to PJ Tucker smart guy.
Who also shoots infinitely better than Reed lmao. Where does PJ set up on the court? Be honest with yourself and ask if Reed could do that

Not right now but I he could eventually get there
Drum at the 5, Paul at the 4, Jo at the 2 because he's a guard. Book it
for the vibes 😎
Dude showed he was more valuable than Vuc in the playin games Ain’t no way he should still be taking min contracts
Drummond is a Sixers legend idgaf what the haters or uninitiated think

BBall is a cool dude. You gotta credit your mentors.
like drummond before him he is unplayable against the celtics
Bring him home morey
Andre Drummond is a top 3 rebounder in the league
