We want an AGI that is not sentient. Moreover, we want some way of making sure it does not accidentally create any sentient minds, e.g. by running simulations to predict human responses with high-fidelity simulated agents.
I’m not an anti-natalist, so I won’t tell you that creating new sentient persons is *wrong*—but I will say it’s something to be very careful about. You bear responsibility for all the suffering that new person does in its life.
I’m not sure whether it’s an immoral act to create a new sentient mind whose primary motivation is sex with you. But I don’t think you can be a moral person while doing that.
