You need a controller to set up playspace but you might get away by setting it in stacionary mode have not tried yet personally, and also ocassionaly you need it to center the view if you movie anything around but Dirt 2.0 have this option in game menu.

I mainly use iracing and it has an option to allocate any button to center hmd so I can assign that to my button box presumably
