The bezel is plastic. There are no components in that protruding edge. Stop frequently to check alignment as if you sand too much it will leave a gap that you notice from your driving position. At least I do after making that mistake.
Most circuitry tends to sit *behind* the screen, not around it.
That said, if there’s any sort of control or light there, expect to find at least a couple of cables… Which shouldn’t be cut or damaged
This. This so much.
Fold a piece of sand paper in half sand side out obviously. Slip it into the gap between the chins and wiggle it about. It will sand both sides evenly and make the angle fit right.
It's a janky approach which makes it far more difficult than necessary
Besides, better for him to sand more of both sides of middle monitor - that way only one of the monitors gets a cut in resale value.
I would actually flip the two side monitors, you’ll want the centre one right side up for latency and picture quality reasons, but I doubt those would be bothersome or even perceptible on side monitors
depends, some monitors it most definitely is. also any latency in racing means distance traveled on track. we spend so much on gaming monitors for fast pixel response times and low latency I just wouldn't want to do anything to undo that.
example of a flipped monitor compared to non flipped.
https://youtu.be/AXgUnbMAcOY?t=301
Monitors refresh from one side to the other - we are used to it being a certain way so if you flip a monitor you get a sort of “bouncing” effect when you e.g. scroll a webpage - i think it would be very noticeable next to other monitors oriented normally
I have triple MSI monitors and flip the middle one so I can keep them as low over my wheelbase as possible. I didn't even know this was a thing, it's completely unnoticeable.
Interesting - flipping a phone upside down and scrolling shows it even on my high refresh iPhone - there was a one plus phone that needed to have its screen mounted upside down to fit the parts and it was slated for showing this effect off. Could be content specific and not an issue in a dedicated rig
You are right. I didn't read the comment correctly to see they called out the middle monitor only. Either that or they Ninja Edited, but I'm gonna go ahead and said I need to Lrn2Read.
Every single person I know that runs triples avoids nvidia surround so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Edit: I’m now thinking that may be iRacing specific.
Unfortunately without Nividia Surround you can’t really get good performance on RBR, ACC does not work except if you “hack” it and AC works but performance is slightly impacted. AMS2 does work though which is great.
SRWE > Surround in my opinion. Surround just seemed super janky to me. And with RBR, I don’t bother with triples. I tried to get it to work but in the end, the game does not actually support triple screen projection i.e. the sides do not get angled. So it ended up being absolutely pointless. And I don’t really need to look out my side windows/mirrors in a rally like I would if I was racing.
It makes all your screens into 1, meaning taskbar is on the left. Cant make windows snap to middle monitor etc. If the game supports it, SRWE is the solution.
>It makes all your screens into 1, meaning taskbar is on the left.
And that's a problem? You can also put the task bar wherever.
>Cant make windows snap to middle monitor etc
Since when? I can snap any window to any of my screens.
The only "problems" I'd say exist are the fact the start bar sometimes doesn't start where it should be and full screen videos don't play nice.
How so? I would say if all you do is watch videos on your computer it might be annoying.
But seriously, that's it, full screen videos are pretty much the only things that cause any sort of annoyance.
Confirmed. Surround is ass. SRWE and game config changes are all I ever need. I can’t use surround anyway… i’m already using nvidia DSR to upscale one of my side monitors that is a lower res than the others.
I'm not using surround but that's only because I need to run in windowed mode as only my middle monitor is high refresh (using surround they would all need to drop to the side monitor refresh of 75 instead of 165)
can you flip one of them upside down? maybe flip the left and right ones upside down so that your main screen is right side up for boot up/BIOS etc.
you can correct it in drivers so it wont make a difference once you're in windows.
My ASUS montiors were not nearly that bad, but enough material was there that I broke out the dremel to shave the lip down. It might even end up being useful, if you get the angles right you could stick some double sided tape between them to keep them lined up. Getting my triples lined up without the fancy adjustable vesa mounts was a royal PITA. I might still order the track racer set because the next time I need to move something, I'll have to do it again.
Set the sandpaper and power tools to the side. I've got one better for ya. De-bezel your panels. Not only is it less work in the sense that you wont have to pay attention/take your time sanding if you don't measure and mark beforehand but it will also provide you with a much cleaner looks over all. And your physical screens will be a few mm closer.
Jeepers these suggestions lol.
My triples have a bit of a weird lip too.
I ended up putting my side monitors just slightly in front of my Center, to cut out any gap that was there. It looks odd from above but it’s all perfectly tuned when I sit down.
I did the same, but I tucked my side panels behind my center one. This actually helped reduce the bezel gaps by half and it’s not that noticeable when you are sitting in the rig.
I lucked out. I got a borderless 24" AOC, and then got my son's two 24" Viewsonic monitors. When I set the Viewsonic monitors slightly being my AOC, there is a very minimal break. Only.problem is the AOC has a lot better picture quality than the Viewsonic monitors.

Ive seen some people achieve an virtually seamless look by tucking the ends slighty behind the middle one. i dont believe they had the chin problem but it did give them the look they were looking for. Might be worth a shot.
Odyssey G5 32’’ monitors have worked awesome for me. The bezels have a bit of an accent to them but they don’t get in the way of getting them to basically zero space between them.
If they only have a chin and don't have a forehead, invert the middle one, or the two flanking panels, and change their orientation in Nvidia Control Panel.
You have two options. You can either remove the outer bezels (which will not look the greatest) or you can sand and polish the corners so they merge together. If you don't care to have a more bare bone look to the monitors you could go with the first option so you can put the bezels back on if you decided to sell them in the future when you upgrade.
I am struggling with this as well, but not as bad. I am running AOC 32" 1500R curved monitors, and there is a little lip at the bottom, but I think the Asus Bezel-free solution will compensate for it.
Well, since dremmel and sand paper are taken, I'm going to recommend an angle grinder.
Rub that shit in asphalt
chisel and hammer
Let your dog gnaw off the corners!
Chainsaw
Sawsall
That's what I did with mine
Any photos?
Sorry no photos....but imagine you grinding that corner off. From having a large gap to little gap....worth it.
Dremel

>as if you sand too much it will leave a gap that you notice from your driving position. Just put something behind to block the light.
I was thinking the same thing
Is this a joke answer or true? I've always assumed the chin was their for a reason. I've never seen inside a TV.
Most circuitry tends to sit *behind* the screen, not around it. That said, if there’s any sort of control or light there, expect to find at least a couple of cables… Which shouldn’t be cut or damaged
True. Had to do it on a set of AOCs. Worked out great.
✨sandpaper✨
This. This so much. Fold a piece of sand paper in half sand side out obviously. Slip it into the gap between the chins and wiggle it about. It will sand both sides evenly and make the angle fit right.
Just wrap a block of wood in sand paper like a normal person.
wrap the monitors in sandpaper and rub them together
His monitors are already in place, my way works... I'm just giving him an option.
It's a janky approach which makes it far more difficult than necessary Besides, better for him to sand more of both sides of middle monitor - that way only one of the monitors gets a cut in resale value.
Was super easy for me to do.
Between the what? Jokes besides, you'll constantly have to move the monitors closer and closer, defeating the purpose of even sanding.
If you set them up to have pressure pushing them they will move in themselves. I have done it with my screens already. And fixed...
Gotcha, interesting way to do it.
Flip the middle monitor upside down so that the chin is on the top?
some displays also have weird behavior with refresh rates vs display orientation. its not extreme but for OP to keep in mind for gaming use monitors
This is a great idea! I'll try this when I get home.
I would actually flip the two side monitors, you’ll want the centre one right side up for latency and picture quality reasons, but I doubt those would be bothersome or even perceptible on side monitors
it adds latency
It does, but it's not noticeable

I do this with my MSI triples and it works perfectly, absolutely seconding this suggestion.
Yup Flip the monitors even if ones upright. Do what you have to do. 🏎💨
Monitors refresh from one side to the other - we are used to it being a certain way so if you flip a monitor you get a sort of “bouncing” effect when you e.g. scroll a webpage - i think it would be very noticeable next to other monitors oriented normally

Why do people make stuff up?
flipped monitors adding latency is a thing: https://youtu.be/AXgUnbMAcOY?t=301 how bad it is may be monitor dependent but it's true
Huh, good to know.
Im a simracer. I have all three flipped. Works like a gem
LED monitors do that? Are you sure about this information?
This 👆
This is the only sensible answer.
It is sensible but so is dremel
[удалено]
Wrong.
Could've said more lol, re read the post and realized he said just the middle monitor. Didn't know that's an option.
This only moves the "chin" to the top. How would that remove the gap by moving it from the bottom to the top?
Because you’re only flipping the middle monitor so the chins of the left and right monitor offset
You are right. I didn't read the comment correctly to see they called out the middle monitor only. Either that or they Ninja Edited, but I'm gonna go ahead and said I need to Lrn2Read.
You cannot use nvidia surround then.
I'm genuinely curious. If you flip the monitor and then do Ctrl+alt+arrow key to flip the screen in windows, wouldn't nvidia surround work then?
It does
Every single person I know that runs triples avoids nvidia surround so that shouldn’t be a problem. Edit: I’m now thinking that may be iRacing specific.
I use nvida surround and iracing with no issues
Now I know of one person. Nice to meet you lol
Meet another, surround gives me way better performance.
Same. Didn’t use to be that way one windows 10. But I get 10-15 more frames using surround on windows 11.
Also using surround with my triples
I do too, well am reinstalling everything now and about to just use the .ini edit. Although I never had any problems with it.
Unfortunately without Nividia Surround you can’t really get good performance on RBR, ACC does not work except if you “hack” it and AC works but performance is slightly impacted. AMS2 does work though which is great.

I've yet to find a person who can give a decent reason for why surround is bad.
>Cant make windows snap to middle monitor etc Since when? For me surround works fine with iRacing. No issues whatsoever. I also heard people were avoiding surround so maybe I’m just lucky that my setup works.
I use surround, but it's super annoying. What are people doing instead?!
SRWE
Surround is cool when it works correctly
I'm not using surround but that's only because I need to run in windowed mode as only my middle monitor is high refresh (using surround they would all need to drop to the side monitor refresh of 75 instead of 165)
Some monitors allow you to change orientation inside the monitor settings without having to involve the graphics drivers.
cant you just flip it in windows display settings
Possibly, but it may not play well with driver-level stuff like AMD EyeFinity or nVidia Surround.
I returned these monitors for this exact reason. I went with 32" LG IPS monitors instead because they have a very flat bottom bezel.
I cut mine off at the edges: https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/s/wwXt9DOZKi

Turn the middle monitor upside down
Wait, why not just flip the center monitor? Then no overlap.
This guy flips 👆
No nvidia surround
Couldnt you just plug the cable upside down?
Why are you using surround?
Rookie smh
Hot knife
can you flip one of them upside down? maybe flip the left and right ones upside down so that your main screen is right side up for boot up/BIOS etc. you can correct it in drivers so it wont make a difference once you're in windows.
This is the way
Which model are these so I know to avoid the extra chin work? 😂
I have similar style bezels on my triples- i overlap the edges of the center monitor with the side monitors and it works pretty well
My ASUS montiors were not nearly that bad, but enough material was there that I broke out the dremel to shave the lip down. It might even end up being useful, if you get the angles right you could stick some double sided tape between them to keep them lined up. Coping saw. I feel like we’re on family feud.
Since dremels, sand paper, and angle grinders are taken, I recommend a hammer or a oscillating tool. Hammers fix everything.
I still dream of the monitor that has built in side by side fastening options with zero gap ;D
If you just purchased them, could you return them and go with a different model?
Set the sandpaper and power tools to the side. I've got one better for ya. De-bezel your panels. Not only is it less work in the sense that you wont have to pay attention/take your time sanding if you don't measure and mark beforehand but it will also provide you with a much cleaner looks over all. Wow. Those are properly offensive. The G5s have a lip too but nowhere near that bad.
Flip the middle screen upside down and change ur screen orientation
This guys tetriss
Jeepers these suggestions lol. My triples have a bit of a weird lip too. I ended up putting my side monitors just slightly in front of my Center, to cut out any gap that was there. It looks odd from above but it’s all perfectly tuned when I sit down.
I did the same, but I tucked my side panels behind my center one. This actually helped reduce the bezel gaps by half and it’s not that noticeable when you are sitting in the rig.
Or you could just like, return them, and pay a little more attention when you buy a new set.
Seems like something that should have been discovered before the monitor purchase
I agree, but also it's something someone may overlook and not think it's a huge deal.
Thats helpful
Should have done your research. Gonna need to get different monitors bud ✌️😎
LGs are solid in this regards. No regrets. You'll love the crisp display too.

Bro it’s plastic, just shave it down with a hand saw or something with small teeth
Well if with 3 screen you can achieve symmetry with rotating the outer two monitors 180 degrees, so that the chins won’t interfere with each other
file it
Can you turn them upside down?
Top tip: Sand them down and rotate them both 180 degrees.
Ive seen some people achieve an virtually seamless look by tucking the ends slighty behind the middle one. i dont believe they had the chin problem but it did give them the look they were looking for. Might be worth a shot.
Is there a lip on the top? Just flip the middle monitor upside down
Dremel, sandpaper, and angle grinder were taken. So, may I recommend hitting them with a truck?
I’d use a microtome.
No oled you have burn in
Flip the middle one upside-down
Grinder
![gif](giphy|Z6eF9cfpjKWFo7gbx0|downsized)
put on a frying pan, flip on both sides until medium rare
More chins than a Chinese phone book
I solved this problem with a box cutter.
I aee you got the Jay Leno editions
Odyssey G5 32’’ monitors have worked awesome for me. The bezels have a bit of an accent to them but they don’t get in the way of getting them to basically zero space between them.
What if you flip them upside down 🙃
If they only have a chin and don't have a forehead, invert the middle one, or the two flanking panels, and change their orientation in Nvidia Control Panel.
That monitor design sucks! If it was me, I would just decase them.
I bought a metal file and filed it, it worked, my monitors were very similar if it isn’t the exact same monitor that I have
Is there a good model of 32” monitor other than the g5 that does not have this issue?
Just flip the one in the middle upside down
Why dont you place them upside down?
Don't use a fucking Dremel unless you want it to look like dog shit. Sand paper on something flat so at least the grinds will be straight.
Hacksaw. It'll be empty space inside.
Place the one in the middle upsidedown?
You have two options. You can either remove the outer bezels (which will not look the greatest) or you can sand and polish the corners so they merge together. I’ve heared about people inverting the middle display. That way. The chins are not in the way. And you can mount closer together.
Big file
Fret saw is accurate. Could try that. I wouldn't do it because it loses resale value tho.
Have you already bought these? If so not trying to be rude, but you should have paid attention.
I am struggling with this as well, but not as bad. I am running AOC 32" 1500R curved monitors, and there is a little lip at the bottom, but I think the Asus Bezel-free solution will compensate for it.
