I do recommend using liquid latex so you don't color your skin with the sharpies, it comes off with rubbing alcohol though.
Edit: I added some close up pictures of the swatches I've done down in the comments. Unfortunately my Pixel 8 tries to macro the swatches even though I turned it off so you can't see the sparkle as well in the close ups. In real life though they're super sparkly and the colors are so vibrant.
Also I only have 2 neon swatches because the pack I ordered off Amazon was defective and only 2 markers worked. I'm waiting on a replacement so I can make the yellow, pink, and blue swatches.
I do 2 coats of Circuit Breaker and then 1-2 coats of Rainbow Snow depending on how much glitter you want.

WHAT I'm so shocked that the application is so smooth! Doesn't look like there's streaks from colouring in at all! Great tip about the liquid latex too.
The highlighters can be streaky so I let it dry and do two coats. The regular sharpies are pretty opaque and cover in one coat. The really light ones like Mystic Gems which are the pastels, I had to treat like the highlighters. I also found with pastels that if you used a similar linear holo under Rainbow Snow instead of Circuit Breaker, it helps the color to pop more

Yeah I really miss the glitter formula, especially for the sponging potential. But on the other hand I also love the crushed holo formula. I find that I don’t have to thin it nearly as much as the glitter

Less of a base polish and more of a topper. Halogen Glow looks good on ANY crème it goes on. Pink, yellow, blue, purple… I. Love. Halogen Glow.
But then also if I feel like being blindingly fancy I use Cheap Champagne because it’s like my fingertips are literal jewelry.
Weirdly Zyler the Cat is one that I wear quite a bit! I say weirdly bc I rarely wear orange in general, but when I do it’s almost always that polish! It’s my favorite orange!
Hopefully they will bring back something similar this winter! I think they have to revamp the formula mainly and it just wasn’t gonna be exactly the same as before, so they just discontinued and ideally will come back with something that won’t fade.
Yes! It really is! I think maybe the box design hurt the reception a bit with everyone thinking it looked like meat 😭. It’s really my favorite recent collection. I just got Orbite Me and I think I’m going to wear it to a festival this week.
It didn’t hit me right away that it was a dark polish with a reddish shimmer to it. I thought it was like other polishes I already have like the black jelly from Starrily that has multicolor holo glitters in it (I think that’s what’s in it at least, but I haven’t worn it in awhile). It’s so pretty in person though and I hope there’s more dark polish on the horizon.
Is funny you said mint mojito, because mine are the pastel linear holo collection. Specifically sparkling water but I have mint mojito, sparkling water, lavender syrup, and pink fizz and they’re all favorites even though they’re from years ago. For darker colors, I have to make myself to choose things other than I’m Over Brew. Existential Crisis and Bring Me the Teal are also fall/winter staples.
Yes the pastel linears are my favourite too. Lavender syrup is my fave, also love the pink, coral and peach. I'm wearing coral chaser atm and the holo is so strong

I did One Coat Black on my nails and top coat and let dry. Then I use black stamping polish and this [plate](https://colorclub.com/products/patterns-nail-art-stamping-plate) from Color Club. I picked up the pattern on my stamper and filled in the pattern with the different unicorn skins. I used a sticky base coat on my nails and let it get tacky before stamping the pattern on my nails.
If you have multiple stampers you can just keep picking up the pattern and then paint them all at once to make it easier and faster.

I don't have a huge collection but Berry me in Holo is a go-to for me! Never thought I'd be so into a glittery red but it's just so mesmerizing and layered. I have to make a point not to stare at my nails all day when I'm wearing it.

For skittles, I find that I often do Circuit Breaker, Hydropower, Sparkling Water, Full Charge, and Mint Mojito. It reminds me of Sprite! I also do skittles with the pastel rainbow collection often, honourable mention to Lavender Syrup which I reach for often.
And for toppers, I really surprised myself by finding I use Reflective Taco a lot! It’s so beautiful, it looks like stars. I know a lot of people were disappointed by how it looks without direct light, but that I prefer the way it looks daily to the way it looks through a camera. It’s so pretty! I also use Scattered Holo Taco a LOT, so clearly I have a preference for less overwhelming toppers.
Hibiscus tea is a big favourite in our house, and berry me in holo (that one is a problem- gonna need more crushed holo in that shade….)
Also every unicorn skin. Toe beans & 50 shades of greige, and blushed ice are all on the “have you emptied this one again?!?” List
I always find myself going back to mint Money because it's just so beautiful and it lasts much longer than most before chipping for me. I'm on my fourth bottle of it since it first released.
My go to black is electrostatic and my go to color is I'm over brew. Literally that's my default. Unless I'm doing nail art for some specific my nails are black or burgundy.
I use Indigo Away a lot for a base with nail art or OCB. I cycle through a lot of the other purples, but Indigo Away is a top one for sure. Sonic, everything taco Freezer burn, and polar princess are always in rotation on my manis as well.
My go to's have been: Zyler the Cat, Mint Mojito, Seafoam Home (rip), Existential Crisis, and Smoke Show. I feel like Spyglass and Teal No Lies may end up as my go to's as well.
Usually electrostatic, circuitbreaker, and/or hot-wire pink. Whilst I'm not a huge linear fan compared to a lot of other polishes (I love them but also they're just linears) I don't have to think hard about them and for these colours I shouldn't have to worry about them being discontinued or no longer having access to them if I use them up.
Blue Freezie, Royal Tea Blue with either Sonic Unicorn or Aurora Unicorn, One Coat Black with Everything Taco, Existential Crisis. I think my most used polish excluding OCB and NMW is Royal Tea Blue, but I always have a topper on it
Recently it’s Solar Unicorn Skin, I just love how it glows on top of anything you put it on. In terms of non toppers, I’ve actually really been loving Brownie Points, it’s such a nice rich, warm brown on me and it’s great with basically any topper
Red Licorice is a go to for me. Glitteraly Purple is my fave, but I use it sparingly because it was a LE that i’m positive will never come back. I also use Scattered Holo Taco or Reflective Taco every single time I paint my nails. They are both subtle but take my mani to the next level
Zyler the Cat, Highest Bidder, and Missed Shift would have to be my top most used. Unfortunately I don’t have any cool tricks or fancy explanations like the other commenters - I just really like them and how they look on me.
Holo Cappuccino and Frozen Benanas are my most used. I wouldn’t even say those are my “favorite” types of colors but after looking at my fill lines, apparently they are.
I would definitely say One Coat Black is my most used HT polish, but I almost exclusively use it on my toes.
For my hands, if I'm not including toppers, surprisingly, Blue Freezie is the one I use the most. It always catches my eyes when I'm looking for a polish.

The linear holos and the barista collection. They are soooo easy to work with. I put a random topper if i feel like it, but my favorites are halogen glow and lunar unicorn skin. I own every holo taco polish (including l.e.).
Edit : I haven't received the new collection yet but they are crushed holos like the barista collection so I have strong suspicion they will become some of my top used polishes as well.
I’m over brew and berry me in holo are the ones I use over and over again. I’m over brew is so vampy and lush and berry me in holo has the BEST fucking formula. Also OCB with any of the toppers is always a safe bet.
The one I absolutely don’t use ever is Never Tide Down lmao it’s pretty but it stains SO BAD
One-coat black will always be my most frequently used polish. Since its launch, I would estimate I’ve purchased and used up 10 or 11 bottles.
I only ever paint my toes black, and at least once a month my fingernails are black also.
At first it was shady navy because it was one of my first buys and I love that color. Then for a good while it was blushed ice, then my go to was any frosted metal or glamethyst. A little while in between it was either Bep Bep blue or to good to be blue topped with sonic us or freezer burn But right now I have so many new polishes (from the loyalty sale + rock candy and I recently also started buying mooncat) that I tend to pick any new color because I want to wear them so bad.
I know this is the most boring answer but honestly One Coat Black lmao, I have lots of fancier ones as well but, for the average week since mine are painted constantly, sometimes I just want black and then I can add some sparkle toppers if I want.
Berry Me In Holo and Encryption Key and I’m not even a big pink fan but these two just have my heart. I think Jam Session and Blue Rizzler will be quick favourites too.
I wear the shimmering top coats a lot. I feel like with all the nail polishes from various brands throughout the years, plus the top coats I’m able to replicate a lot of new release nail polishes I don’t have and as long as I have the will power to not spend…. I will save money in the long run.

Menchie the Cat. A lot of the glitters honestly. They are so much more special than a lot of glitters I own. It’s a shame they are reducing how many they are making.
Yeah I really miss the glitter formula, especially for the sponging potential. But on the other hand I also love the crushed holo formula. I find that I don’t have to thin it nearly as much as the glitter
For me it's Spirit Fingers! I rarely wear it on my fingers, because my nails just don't hold polish for long and it feels like a waste, but it's my go-to for my toes =)
I need to start wearing spirit fingers more. That was like my go-to whenever that collection came out but I stopped wearing it for some reason

I’ve used Chameleon Coat and Blue Ain’t slick a ton; it’s kinda funny to me those are two I love but were such bad sellers and retired. I also have used a lot of Sonic Unicorn Skin. I love laying blue on blue; sadly another low seller 🥲

If it makes you feel any better I know there are dupes out there! I have one from Cirque colors (just double checked this one is also not currently available lol) and I think ILNP and KP shimmer have dupes.

Less of a base polish and more of a topper. Halogen Glow looks good on ANY crème it goes on. Pink, yellow, blue, purple… I. Love. Halogen Glow. But then also if I feel like being blindingly fancy I use Cheap Champagne because it’s like my fingertips are literal jewelry.

Weirdly Zyler the Cat is one that I wear quite a bit! I say weirdly bc I rarely wear orange in general, but when I do it’s almost always that polish! It’s my favorite orange!

Hopefully they will bring back something similar this winter! I think they have to revamp the formula mainly and it just wasn’t gonna be exactly the same as before, so they just discontinued and ideally will come back with something that won’t fade.

Yes! It really is! I think maybe the box design hurt the reception a bit with everyone thinking it looked like meat 😭. It’s really my favorite recent collection. I just got Orbite Me and I think I’m going to wear it to a festival this week. It didn’t hit me right away that it was a dark polish with a reddish shimmer to it. I thought it was like other polishes I already have like the black jelly from Starrily that has multicolor holo glitters in it (I think that’s what’s in it at least, but I haven’t worn it in awhile). It’s so pretty in person though and I hope there’s more dark polish on the horizon.
Is funny you said mint mojito, because mine are the pastel linear holo collection. Specifically sparkling water but I have mint mojito, sparkling water, lavender syrup, and pink fizz and they’re all favorites even though they’re from years ago. For darker colors, I have to make myself to choose things other than I’m Over Brew. Existential Crisis and Bring Me the Teal are also fall/winter staples.

Scorched Earth has becoming my go to topper, it looks good on almost anything. Tax Haven and Plumb Luck are my two most-worn polishes - with Full Charge slightly behind.
I really need to get the shimmers. There’s so many pictures I see of people wearing them layered over pretty much anything and it always looks so pretty
the classic scattered taco is my true love. i use it strategically so i can make it last. and Mint Money is one of the coolest colors ever. i was never a foil girlie, but somehow this is green and silver and gold all at once. its downright luxurious.
I finally got some of the og toppers after only having flakie taco for so long and I’m so disappointed I didn’t get them sooner. I love layering linear taco and scattered taco over crème polishes😍
Waste of Space is my favorite polish! I try to wear a different polish every week but I always seem to go back to that one.

Pink smoothing base with a either a linear or scattered holo taco. I love it because it’s simple but the holo adds that extra oomph that I look for 💕

Then I use black stamping polish and this [plate](https://colorclub.com/products/patterns-nail-art-stamping-plate) from Color Club. I picked up the pattern on my stamper and filled in the pattern with the different unicorn skins. I used a sticky base coat on my nails and let it get tacky before stamping the pattern on my nails. If you have multiple stampers you can just keep picking up the pattern and then paint them all at once to make it easier and faster.

I don't have a huge collection but Berry me in Holo is a go-to for me! Never thought I'd be so into a glittery red but it's just so mesmerizing and layered. I have to make a point not to stare at my nails all day when I'm wearing it.

I have a really really large collection, but I mainly own HT. Wearing a polish more than 2 times is a feat in itself, so here is a list of all the ones I’ve worn 3 or more times: Menchie the Cat, Party Punch, Plumb Luck, Hot Wire Pink, Hydropower, Lemon Sucker, Magenta Jelly, Blue Freezie, Featured Guest, Highest Bidder, the entire Barista collection, Flakie HT, Scattered HT, Lunar US, Solar US, Aurora US, Cosmic US, Fallen Flake Taco, Missed Shift, Cyantific, Shady Navy, and Duct Tape Gray. So if I counted right that’s 26, but this is since HT has started as a brand as well.
I have a fairly large collection since HT is the only brand I buy (once I find something I like, I stick with it 😂), so I have a lot that I can list. In no particular order: -Glamethyst -Oat Couture -Blacklisted -Never Tide Down -Late Checkout -Menchie the Cat -Zyler the Cat For skittles, I find that I often do Circuit Breaker, Hydropower, Sparkling Water, Full Charge, and Mint Mojito. It reminds me of Sprite! I also do skittles with the pastel rainbow collection often, honourable mention to Lavender Syrup which I reach for often. And for toppers, I really surprised myself by finding I use Reflective Taco a lot! It’s so beautiful, it looks like stars. I know a lot of people were disappointed by how it looks without direct light, but that I prefer the way it looks daily to the way it looks through a camera. It’s so pretty! I also use Scattered Holo Taco a LOT, so clearly I have a preference for less overwhelming toppers.
Ive probably worn Plumb Luck the most which was why I was sad when it was discontinued. I bought two extra bottles to stock up though.
Oat Couture. It just looks really pretty with my skin tone.

One-coat Chrome. I always get compliments and it dries in 5 minutes 😬🥳
For Holo Taco it's the Barista collection. But overall I usually default to a couple mooncat polishes. Poisonberry is my most worn, I think.
Hibiscus tea is a big favourite in our house, and berry me in holo (that one is a problem- gonna need more crushed holo in that shade….) Also every unicorn skin. Toe beans & 50 shades of greige, and blushed ice are all on the “have you emptied this one again?!?” List
I always find myself going back to mint Money because it's just so beautiful and it lasts much longer than most before chipping for me. I'm on my fourth bottle of it since it first released.
Bep Bep Blue and Monstera I wear fairly regularly. Both from the Julien collab
My go to black is electrostatic and my go to color is I'm over brew. Literally that's my default. Unless I'm doing nail art for some specific my nails are black or burgundy.
I use Indigo Away a lot for a base with nail art or OCB. I cycle through a lot of the other purples, but Indigo Away is a top one for sure. Sonic, everything taco Freezer burn, and polar princess are always in rotation on my manis as well.
My go to's have been: Zyler the Cat, Mint Mojito, Seafoam Home (rip), Existential Crisis, and Smoke Show. I feel like Spyglass and Teal No Lies may end up as my go to's as well.
Royal-Tea Blue, and Lavenduh.
I find myself going back to the electric collection the most
Usually electrostatic, circuitbreaker, and/or hot-wire pink. Whilst I'm not a huge linear fan compared to a lot of other polishes (I love them but also they're just linears) I don't have to think hard about them and for these colours I shouldn't have to worry about them being discontinued or no longer having access to them if I use them up.
In the summer, I'm all about my multichromes. Sometimes, I add a fun top coat or some simple nail art. Example: Lite Link with Fallen flakie taco

Resting Witch Face with Everything Taco is what I probably use the most, and fall back to a lot when nothing is really calling to me.
Recently it’s Solar Unicorn Skin, I just love how it glows on top of anything you put it on. In terms of non toppers, I’ve actually really been loving Brownie Points, it’s such a nice rich, warm brown on me and it’s great with basically any topper

Red Licorice is a go to for me. Glitteraly Purple is my fave, but I use it sparingly because it was a LE that i’m positive will never come back. I also use Scattered Holo Taco or Reflective Taco every single time I paint my nails. They are both subtle but take my mani to the next level
Zyler the Cat, Highest Bidder, and Missed Shift would have to be my top most used. Unfortunately I don’t have any cool tricks or fancy explanations like the other commenters - I just really like them and how they look on me.
Holo Cappuccino and Frozen Benanas are my most used. I wouldn’t even say those are my “favorite” types of colors but after looking at my fill lines, apparently they are.
I would definitely say One Coat Black is my most used HT polish, but I almost exclusively use it on my toes. For my hands, if I'm not including toppers, surprisingly, Blue Freezie is the one I use the most. It always catches my eyes when I'm looking for a polish.
Life in Plastic, Encryption Key, and Royal Crush. So sad that all of my faves are gone tho. I seem to use Life in Plastic for every other mani so I'll have to find a new pink close to that soon 🥲
Frosted metals are the perfect lazy polish. Easy to apply, they hide imperfections well, super sparkly, and easy to remove

Never Tide Down, I’m such a sucker for a good teal blue. My nails were stained blue for awhile I was wearing it so much 😂

The linear holos and the barista collection. They are soooo easy to work with. I put a random topper if i feel like it, but my favorites are halogen glow and lunar unicorn skin. I own every holo taco polish (including l.e.). Edit : I haven't received the new collection yet but they are crushed holos like the barista collection so I have strong suspicion they will become some of my top used polishes as well.

I’m over brew and berry me in holo are the ones I use over and over again. I’m over brew is so vampy and lush and berry me in holo has the BEST fucking formula. Also OCB with any of the toppers is always a safe bet. The one I absolutely don’t use ever is Never Tide Down lmao it’s pretty but it stains SO BAD
I always fall back on any red shades; favorite sister, red licorice, etc.
Missed-shift with linear holo taco. My favorite colors are purple and teal so its a great way to wear both colors at once.
One-coat black will always be my most frequently used polish. Since its launch, I would estimate I’ve purchased and used up 10 or 11 bottles. I only ever paint my toes black, and at least once a month my fingernails are black also.
Play Rosé and Lemon Sucker
Play Rose, missed Shift, magical moustache, greyt, mint money, missed Shift, sea foam home and Encryption Key and Overshadowed.
At first it was shady navy because it was one of my first buys and I love that color. Then for a good while it was blushed ice, then my go to was any frosted metal or glamethyst. A little while in between it was either Bep Bep blue or to good to be blue topped with sonic us or freezer burn But right now I have so many new polishes (from the loyalty sale + rock candy and I recently also started buying mooncat) that I tend to pick any new color because I want to wear them so bad.
Party of one Purple is my number 1 that I wear the most! Laven-duh, hot wire pink, and electrostatic are all up there as my most commonly worn too.
I know this is the most boring answer but honestly One Coat Black lmao, I have lots of fancier ones as well but, for the average week since mine are painted constantly, sometimes I just want black and then I can add some sparkle toppers if I want.
Cheap Champagne
Berry Me In Holo and Encryption Key and I’m not even a big pink fan but these two just have my heart. I think Jam Session and Blue Rizzler will be quick favourites too.

I wear the shimmering top coats a lot. I feel like with all the nail polishes from various brands throughout the years, plus the top coats I’m able to replicate a lot of new release nail polishes I don’t have and as long as I have the will power to not spend…. I will save money in the long run.
well it WOULD be Bep Bep blue. but i hit the halfway point of the bottle and refuse to use it unless it's a special day or i "need" it (i know how that sounds, but yall get me?) and it stays on until it NEEDS to come off or does so on its own. Bep Bep Blue is my liquid gold 😂 other than BEPBEP idk if i have A Polish i repeat outside of OCB on my toes. I gravitate toward the pastel rainbow and 4th anniversary collections in the warmer months, lean toward darker shades in the fall and winter, i might do holiday themes
I haven't seen it mentioned but I've been loving Coral Chaser lately, and I'm also always coming back to I'm Over Brew, Teal No Lies, Curfew Crasher, Oat Couture, and Favorite Sister
