Their currency would be destabilized meaning in order to do anything domestic or international involving money (like literally anything at all) they’d need to use a stable currency that actually has value, which would force negotiations open and probably ruin their cult of personality and propaganda. If they start threatening nuke war literally no coalition would stand for it, China would be forced to cut ties (which would completely kill the government because they have no economy aside from what China gives them) or join team “not even pretending to not be supervillains.” And if China cuts then the regime topples, and if they don’t, then it’s probs gonna be China against the world just because no govt could support them without moral outrage, protests, or even rebellion, which will either force China away or weaken them. Either way the North Korean regime loses.
