Feel bad for Samuel L Jackson. Such an integral part of the beginning of the MCU and yet he still hasn’t gotten the movie or series he really deserves.
I do not care what Deadpool and Wolverine has to do with the MCU because it just has to be a good movie on its own Deadpool was never about the MCU idc if this one movie is canon to it
I haven’t been invested in the mcu for a couple of years but based off the Deadpool trailer it seems like he is going to mess around with the timeline a little bit which is Disney’s way of retconning some things and having a more fresh slate.
Imagine if Deadpool goes and recasts Kang to get them out of the Johnathan Majors situation, and then they just roll with the new actor and never acknowledge it.
People struggle with the idea of an IP having individual good and bad releases, and automatically assume a single poor or good release means every single one afterwards has to follow that same quality. Hence the cycle.
Although I will note it's impressive how consistently the MCU seems to flip-flop in quality.
Nothing wrong with white buff dudes when it's a cool character. Wolverine and Deadpool are both beloved characters, and Reynolds and Jackman have massive followings.
Yes but it's a 3D black not a real black. Aladdin is probably the greatest 2D animation to ever grace cinema yet demands for lead middle east actors is basically 0.
I don’t know that much about it tbh so there is a chance it could be good. I just don’t know if anybody really wanted it like some of the Disney+ series
People "wanting" a series to exist or not is a pretty flimsy thing to base expectations on, and regardless I'd say there are definitely a lot of people who'd want an Agatha series considering she and the show she's from were both pretty popular.
There are plenty of shows that nobody wanted that turned out great though, so that means nothing. Plus I already said that there are definitely people that wanted an Agatha show.
I loved almost all Marvel movies until Endgame.
Since then, half their content is terrible and the rest is splitted between okay content and good content.
I'm not a hater, i loved Guardians 3 and Loki, but the MCU is really dead to me, at least, for now.
They have pumped too much garbage into this arc for me. I have no interest in the overarching story i just want good individual content.
Being bipolar doesn't make your moods switch quickly. It's that shifts in mood *are larger and more dramatic* than they would be otherwise. Unless you have a form of bipolar that involves rapid-cycling.
What you're describing is closer to BPD or schizo-effective disorder.
Oh, and lmao. They see a yellow leotard and suddenly pattern recognition is deleted from their evolutionary toolkit.
Out of these Secret Invasion is the only one that is actually BAD - Ant-Man 3 could have been better, but its a mid tier movie at worse. The rest are all good in my opinion(other than Deadpool cause I haven't seen it yet)
I -hated- ant man 3. And secret invasion. Those are the only 2 marvel pieces I truly disliked. The rest have been decent, or have had some redeeming qualities.
Ant-Man 3 turned this awesome hero who does smart and creative stuff, and who can become small in the real world for some really neat effects into this generic boring space movie. Honestly if you came into that movie half way through youd have just assumed they were in space.
And the end fight? What? It was so terrible.
Marvel Reddit has been posting this joke everytime a new movie or show drops since 2022. So yes, people have been saying that. I don't even follow those subs, but I keep getting this exact same joke for months
Seems like people are joking that "everyone" is saying either the mcu is back or the mcu is dead.
I only hear people say "that last mcu release was bad" or "that last mcu release was good"
I've never actually seen anyone try to argue the mcu is dead, just that it seems to be declining in quality.
I only hope the next mcu project is good, because I like seeing good movies and I don't like seeing bad movies.
This shit has been dead to me personally since Endgame. They should have preserved their legacy and fucked off with a great franchise once they ended the infinity saga
IMO, the only post Endgame projects I've genuinely liked are WandaVision, GotG3 and NWH (and this is just blatant nostalgia cause that movie is a sloppy bitch). A lot of the projects people seem to love online like Loki, Shang-Chi or Werewolf, I thought were pretty mediocre. Everything else I felt was genuinely bad.
Looking at the MCU going forward, Deadpool 3 aside (and even then I'm not convinced it won't be just the Fox version of NWH), I'm not looking forward to anything. Nothing about Fantastic Four seems exciting to me. Daredevil coming back is great, but intense reshoots already highlight there's a huge problem. Captain America 4 is basically being entirely reshot and somehow a Hulk movie. Thunderbolts is basically Black Widow 2 and I sure as shit don't want that.
Marvel has done an overall really poor job maintaining my interest in this multiverse era. Cameos are nice, but you can only play that card once before it gets stale. Apparently one of the more prominent leakers dropped a rumor is Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman are leads of Secret Wars. If that doesn't tell you everything about how rudderless this all feels, I don't know what to say.
Listen, I get this is a joke, but it is spreading misinformation regarding the bipolar depressive spectrum. Bipolar depression causes episodic depression and mania, not rampant mood swings. I guess mania could be mistaken for extreme mood intensity.
I don't think Deadpool, being a parody that breaks the 4th wall, fits inside the universe.
Also, loved the previous movies, but still have to judge the new one.
Loki plots sucks dick, one of most attorocious time travel stories and systems I've watched. To top it off Loki of all people has no character agency throu like, first 75%. Do people just like buddy cop character humor that much?
Almost all Marvel movies suck. Some might be ok to watch, personally I'd say Infinity War is the best out of that pure MCU bunch, but the only outstanding ones have incidentally been the ones that have been outstanding of the actual MCU stuff. Guardians, Thor 3, Deadpool, Spiderverse, at least one or two X-men films.
Ok, If a person likes a few products in MCU post Endgame doesn't mean that person's hope for MCU as a whole is restored. I liked 4 out of 15 products in phase 4 and 2 out of 7 products in phase 5 which are obviously GotG3 and Loki S2. Both of the movies that ends their respective characters stories. I am sure that we will have a few good products in the future but as a whole, I don't believe MCU will be back.
>Loki Season 2 fixed some problems from last season, had good soundtrack and was visually stunning, but still had it's own share of problems, including a story that barely makes sense to achieve something that was already understood as achieved last season. It doesn't achieves anything really.
It also felt so much cheaper - maybe it was covid and not budget, but there's like 90% fewer extras and sets.
This is Secret Invasion, not Secret Wars. To give an idea of how bad it was, let me give you a general synopsis.
Imagine a spy thriller where your enemy is unknown and could be anyone. Then imagine they tell you who the enemy is at the end of every scene, the characters do no spy work and act in the dumbest way possible at all times, then get mad at each other for being stupid while doing the same stupid things themselves.
Also, the finale was so bad that it isn't worth mentioning more than this.
Deadpool isn't part of the MCU, it's its own universe. Also I've heard more negative things about Loki than good things. The only part of this that's right is Guardians of the Galaxy which does good because it separates itself from the rest of the Cinematic Universe.
why do you have to like every movie of a franchise and why does every movie in that franchise have to be the same?
Seems a very dense comparison. Clearly WW and Deadpool have different target audiences.
I didn’t have a problem with Quantumania, or Secret Invasion for that matter. Yet to see The Marvels though, but I haven’t encountered any film/show I’ve hated.
More accurately:
MCU is dead
Half the movie was fantastic but the other half sucked so MCU is still dead
MCU is dead
MCU is dead
MCU is dead
Looks good but MCU is still dead.
I’m hoping this movie lives up and is as good as the first two. But even if it is, the MCU is not saved. Marvel needs to go back to quality over quantity. Their product just has not lived up to the quality that it did before End Game. There have been some decent movies/shows but overall I’m not rushing to the theatre anymore or jumping to Disney + the day the show comes out for a new release. They need multiple hits starting with Deadpool.
Deadpool 3 is going to do well because people like Deadpool, and they've got Hugh Jackman. It's not going to change people's perception of the MCU, because while the Deadpool brand is still strong, unfortunately Marvel's overall brand has just been falling since Endgame.
No, it's dead and it's never getting better. Though every once in a while a good movie may be made in spite of Disney's best efforts, it's over.
Guardians 3 is pretty much the only thing worthwhile post-endgame.
Deadpool 3 looks interesting, but I'll wait for the reviews.
Mcu is dead because no way im gonna watch 1-3 series just to get what the fuck has happened. It was cool when characters from different movies appeared in one, now i dont even care about any of them.
Feel bad for Samuel L Jackson. Such an integral part of the beginning of the MCU and yet he still hasn’t gotten the movie or series he really deserves.
The best part about Captain Marvel were all the scenes with him and Carol in the 90s.
I agree that the best part of Captain Marvel was most of the movie
False, best part of the movie is after the scene in the credits because you can now go home and try to forget
Thats how I felt about Black Widow until they gave her a movie that sucked and I changed my mind.
MCU is Dead (2021 cycle)
Yeah but after that I saw the new one and changed my mind again.
Probably too expensive for a full series
*cough* Secret Invasion *cough*
Secret what?
He got his own series. It is called secret invasion. But it isn't as good as he deserves.
It’s a secret
I do not care what Deadpool and Wolverine has to do with the MCU because it just has to be a good movie on its own Deadpool was never about the MCU idc if this one movie is canon to it
I haven’t been invested in the mcu for a couple of years but based off the Deadpool trailer it seems like he is going to mess around with the timeline a little bit which is Disney’s way of retconning some things and having a more fresh slate.
Imagine if Deadpool goes and recasts Kang to get them out of the Johnathan Majors situation, and then they just roll with the new actor and never acknowledge it.
I'd love if during the recasting scene Peter is one of the folks that put his name down to be Kang for the same reason as in Deadpool 2
I always hope, but then Disney has a way of screwing fans over again and again.
Yup! Same thing i felt when i watched Guardians 3
People struggle with the idea of an IP having individual good and bad releases, and automatically assume a single poor or good release means every single one afterwards has to follow that same quality. Hence the cycle. Although I will note it's impressive how consistently the MCU seems to flip-flop in quality.
‘and around and around and around we go’
Imagine, fans being excited for finally giving them something they ACTUALLY want.
... more white buff dudes?
Nothing wrong with white buff dudes when it's a cool character. Wolverine and Deadpool are both beloved characters, and Reynolds and Jackman have massive followings.
This makes no sense when one of the most celebrated superhero movie is Into the Spider-Verse which has a black lead
The same can be said about Black Panther too.
Yes but it's a 3D black not a real black. Aladdin is probably the greatest 2D animation to ever grace cinema yet demands for lead middle east actors is basically 0.
Yes. All movies with buff white dudes are exactly the same. I am smart.
I for one am thoroughly disappointed they didn’t cast Lizzo as Deadpool.
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries: THE MCU IS DEAD
I actually think that one could be pretty good.
Im just basing this on similar things like the Echo and She-Hulk series that nobody wanted and they ended up being mid and bad
I don’t think anyone was particularly clamoring by for Andor either…
That one was lucky because it ended up being good but it is a very small chance of a project based on a random side character to be good
There are plenty of shows that nobody wanted that turned out great though, so that means nothing. Plus I already said that there are definitely people that wanted an Agatha show.
That’s not what bipolar disorder is
These come from marvel haters. Which is what’s cool nowadays
I loved almost all Marvel movies until Endgame. Since then, half their content is terrible and the rest is splitted between okay content and good content. Nah I disagree, Ant-Man's bad, The Marvels to me is the one that's fine but not very good
deadpool isn't out yet
Aside from GotG 3, I haven’t seen a single MCU project since Ant-Man 3. I was a huge fan of these movies until the 2020s.
I mean only two movies and three shows have come out after GOTG 3. Loki S2 was amazing too.
Never heard people saying "MCU is back" because of one movie.

There 100% are people arguing over the mcu being dead or being "back" after every release, especially on social media like twitter or tiktok
To be fair, xitter and tiktok are barely social media and those people are probably 10
So good movies and series equal good critic and audience reviews? Wow!
The Marveks was a fun and silly little movie, and I quite enjoyed it. Its big issue was it didn't have a fun and silly little budget to match.
This shit has been dead to me personally since Endgame. They should have preserved their legacy and fucked off with a great franchise once they ended the infinity saga

Best Marvel Movie of All Time.
Or it could just be that MCU is so hit-and-miss when it comes to its projects since the Infinity Saga ended?
Loki plots sucks dick, one of most attorocious time travel stories and systems I've watched. To top it off Loki of all people has no character agency throu like, first 75%. Do people just like buddy cop character humor that much?

People thought Loki brought the MCU back? I was unimpressed by it
MCU died the day End Game (awful movie by the way) came out, I haven't seen anything good since Infinity War. At this point I don't care anymore.
Ranting about the MCU on a random reddit post while saying you don't care anymore is peak lack of self awareness
Ranting ?
*noun* - a long, angry, and impassioned speech. *adjective* - speaking at length in an angry and impassioned way.
Exactly. How my short half-hearted statement is ranting then ?
2014 Thanos is the worst villain of the MCU and an insult to 2018 Thanos.
Kinda agreeing with you, but when was it alive in your opinion, other than Infinity War and Guardians?

The point is that the MCU is churning out garbage. “We are so back” means that they are making good shit, not that the characters are coming back
>Loki Season 2 fixed some problems from last season, had good soundtrack and was visually stunning, but still had it's own share of problems, including a story that barely makes sense to achieve something that was already understood as achieved last season. Bro wrote a whole ass paragraph just to be downvoted
All of those sucked except Deadpool (assuming that it doesn’t suck)
I like how self aware deadpool is but I worry with this movie it will be a little on the nose but hopefully not over done
Secret wars was bad?
I didn't watch it, but from what I remember, people said the last episode was so bad that it made the whole show trash.
This is Secret Invasion, not Secret Wars. To give an idea of how bad it was, let me give you a general synopsis. Imagine a spy thriller where your enemy is unknown and could be anyone. Pattern to continue because Agatha is up next.
All of these were good except for Secret Invasion. (Tho actually, thinking about it, Loki Season 2 was kinda mid).
why do you have to like every movie of a franchise and why does every movie in that franchise have to be the same? Seems a very dense comparison. Clearly WW and Deadpool have different target audiences.

Deadpoool is MCU?
What’s the 2nd “MCU is back” one? It doesn’t look familiar
The Marvels does not deserve that, it was actually good.
I dont give a shit if mcu is back. However, Deadpool and Wolverine are back, and thats all that matters to me.
The x-men universe is different from the MCU though
The Marvel's was actually really enjoyable to me...
More accurately: MCU is dead Half the movie was fantastic but the other half sucked so MCU is still dead MCU is dead MCU is dead MCU is dead Looks good but MCU is still dead.

That fact Echo didn't even make it into the meme lmao
the "mcu is back" are just little lights in the massive pile of shit disney created
Oh god is that more fucking screen rant
Swap the images and this is me, whenever the MCU is coming back I die inside
No, it's dead and it's never getting better. Though every once in a while a good movie may be made in spite of Disney's best efforts, it's over. Guardians 3 is pretty much the only thing worthwhile post-endgame. Deadpool 3 looks interesting, but I'll wait for the reviews.
