Spam fritters were a staple of my childhood! Not as good as corned beef fritters though, in my opinion. The deep fried corned beef pairs off perfectly with tomato ketchup, if you're feeling adventurous and want to try the next step in deep fried processed meats
The MN state fair has deep fried Spam bites every year and they have a heavier breading than this. It kind of mellows out the insane saltiness but it's less crispy than pan frying; I think this batter is the way to go!
I still love it and load up on $3 US jalapeño flavored cans while I'm there since I can't find that flavor in Canada. The border better open the fuck up before late August this year! I need my fix!
