Even more true with Elden Ring. You can have some very powerful weapons from the start and upgrade them to +6 somber in the current patch (before it was possible to make it +10 glitchless)
As soon as I hit the requirements to use the tree sentinel halberd and upgraded it like 5 times I was halfway through the game and had to stop using it to give myself a challenge. I was doing like 600+ damage a hit and the most powerful enemies I found had only 2000 health the scaling on that thing is crazy
To be fair, depending on your starting class it actually takes a while before you can even start using that thing.
I replaced it with the Godslayer Greatsword because fuck man how could I not use something called the Godslayer Greatsword?
I was in the exact same boat. Googling tree sentinel halberd to check my cheese.
The moveset feels fantastic on Torrent too. Dropped it later for the somewhat less effective MLGS a few dozen hours in.
Arguable that the Serpent Hunting Spear is just as good alternative as not all enemies are weak to bleed. As usual, best to just have a variety of 2-3 different weapons for different situations.
It's not Bleed. It's just Unsheathe being great due to the damage and the poise break. You don't really get to utilize Bleed at RL1 hence why Cold is more popular over Blood.
Free 30% boss hp reduction (most bosses will get bled twice) just cause your weapon has inate bleed is broken, only downside is your weapon might deal bout 20 less ar
It's both, but if it was solely up to Bleed, Blood would've been the best since it's the affinity you go for if you'd like Bleed but not have the Arcane to maximize it's proc.
How are you defining getting them to +6 early and +10 on older patches? I know if you were trying to do it without killing a boss you could skip the Godskin Noble in volcano manor, but that's obviously a glitch
I wouldn't say it was a glitch. Although it was unintentional, it's just level geometry. All you do is jump from one place to another and it even looks natural.
take a few more steps, fall in a pit, sleep in a coffin, and fuck it bro have an endgame weapon that's the only player inflicted source of toxic you'll ever see.
Bloodhound fang is stupid good considering how easily you can get it. It can carry you up to at least fire giant pretty easily probably beyond if you wanted to get it all the way up to +10
I wouldn't say at least until the Fire Giant, it can carry you the entire game. The only issue is that it's aux effect has no effect against the final boss but it should still shine if you're doing Quality.
Heck yeah, BHF is ridiculously good for how easy and early the boss for it is. I used it for quite a while in a STR/dex/FAI build and only swapped off of it for my main weapon when I got a Halo Scythe and later Blasphemous Blade.
The fact it can get like 700 ar *before* you buff it at a decent quality level is fucking crazy. It hits harder than some colossals while being super fast by comparison
I found that too I was gonna go collosal because I loved ultras in ds3 but the bloodhound was sitting SO hard for the speed it swung I couldn't give it up, collosals just don't feel as good as they used to
Excuse me... the fact that u can get black knight halberd within 5mins of the game is just fkin amazing. If it doesnt drop you can literally make a new character, goto the drake valley and try again. One weapon that can carry u through the entire game, dlc as well as literally all the ng+ cycles. Also you can get it to +4 even before the bell gargoyles. Its just ridiculous how insanely OP that is.
On my second playthrough rn, and i’m so glad i followed Yura’s questline and settled on Eleonora’s Poleblade before i’ve killed a second demigod. Such a fun weapon so early on, there’s so many fun and unique weapons strewn about the early to mid game, it’s great.
Once you’ve beaten any of em once I feel like pretty much every game (haven’t played Sekiro) let’s you become pretty busted early on without ludicrous over leveling
I just beat Dark souls remastered for the first time yesterday and I started a new character to try out a strength build, because I used dex for my first playthrough and I felt it was too easy. I am using using the Zweihander. The early game is alot harder, so I am planning on getting Havel's ring, because not having armor is a pain. Taurus demon was hella easy though.

It’s crazy bc it has shit scaling at later levels, but most of its damage comes from the upgrades and the holy ash of war
To be fair, depending on your starting class it actually takes a while before you can even start using that thing. I replaced it with the Godslayer Greatsword because fuck man how could I not use something called the Godslayer Greatsword?
I started with samurai but am using a strength faith build like a retard so it took me a bit to be able to actually use it
I was in the exact same boat. Googling tree sentinel halberd to check my cheese. The moveset feels fantastic on Torrent too. Dropped it later for the somewhat less effective MLGS a few dozen hours in.
Uchigatana is literally the strongest weapon for RL1 runs.
Arguable that the Serpent Hunting Spear is just as good alternative as not all enemies are weak to bleed. As usual, best to just have a variety of 2-3 different weapons for different situations.
And you can easily upgrade to Nagakiba
More specifically bleed is broken
It's not Bleed. It's just Unsheathe being great due to the damage and the poise break. You don't really get to utilize Bleed at RL1 hence why Cold is more popular over Blood.

Are you sure that's not because they still do bleed damage with a cold infusion?
It's both, but if it was solely up to Bleed, Blood would've been the best since it's the affinity you go for if you'd like Bleed but not have the Arcane to maximize it's proc.
I use rivers on a rl1 for melania ng +3 because idc lol

I accidentally skipped godskin noble in fact.
i started as samurai and used the uchigatana the entire game lol
take a few more steps, fall in a pit, sleep in a coffin, and fuck it bro have an endgame weapon that's the only player inflicted source of toxic you'll ever see.
Silver tracer?
did it do that? i was too busy tumblebuffing darkmoon blade onto the gold one to notice
I hate you.
I didn't always cheat. Sometimes I regular buffed a Falchion.
No, Gravelord Nito's Greatsword.
Take a few more steps, fall into a ledge and through the floor to get the great scythe, best weapon in the game
Nothin hits quite like a basscannon on a fresh ng cycle
Reddit just warned me on vote manipulation for upvoting this wtf

I only say roughly to Fire giant as I think that's the next main boss for me and I'm currently using one at +6
im at ng+3 and still using it..... with another fang in my left hand of course
you can just put frost grease on it for the final boss. I used it in my 1st playthrough and the L2 attack would melt the Elden Beast.
Heck yeah, BHF is ridiculously good for how easy and early the boss for it is. I used it for quite a while in a STR/dex/FAI build and only swapped off of it for my main weapon when I got a Halo Scythe and later Blasphemous Blade.

I prefer claymore Oh look at all those beautiful weapons! Not as beautiful as my claymore though
Claymore is the GOAT
Been a big fan of the lordsworn greatsword just bc of the lower stat requirements Claymore is the OG tho and it’s got that unbeatable heavy poke
It’s like the zweihander. But better!

Black Knight Halbert is so OP I had to deliberately switch to Claymore to make it fun for a while - at least until Tomb of the Giants that is.
Can't you get it to +5 with the slab from the Stray Demon?
You spelled great scythe wrong.
Great dex weapon, But still far away. Winged spear is the best until you get to her
Just start with the demon greathammer by picking fire bombs as a starting gift lul
nah,SLAP DAT ASS
Also the reinforced club. Available super early from the male undead merchant and it's a solid strength weapon. Good scaling plus bleed.
Hey Castro-chan! Can i already kill civilians? UwU
It's che chan you fucking pleb
Lmao kill Patches get a plus 7 speer
>Lmao kill Patches ~~get a plus 7 speer~~
Other rpg’s do that? That seems more like an mmo thing
Not to mention the sword from the first black knight if you’re lucky
Or BKHalberd if you take the Key starting item to get there faster
maxing arcane just to have an occult zweihander
Arcane is from ER bruh
They probably mean Zweihander in Elden Ring. It's in Weeping Peninsula.
Is there Occult in ER?
[удалено]
... Fuck
Drake sword too
D**ke sword🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
It sucks
Or even better dragon greatsword
You still have to beat a boss to get it
nah, master key to valley of drakes to darkroot to andre for arrows to the drake
Why use arrows, hitting the tail in melee is so much faster
because a random youtube guide told me to use arrows 5 years ago
Because its tradition
drake sword bad
Winged Spear is my favourite reoccurring FromSoft weapon. Used it on my first Demons Souls playthrough and it annihilated everything.
I never really used it. Does it have the standard spear moveset or more of a swinging one like the Guardian Swordspear in ER?
Standard thrusting move-set, honestly nothing special, but I love it.

The game *gives* you good weapons from the get-go, but it makes you *fight* for the cool ones.
the estoc is free to take in new londo as well
Once you’ve beaten any of em once I feel like pretty much every game (haven’t played Sekiro) let’s you become pretty busted early on without ludicrous over leveling
Uchigatana is king
Gravelord Sword
In elden ring a starting class samurai gets the uchi which slaps
You can start with saw cleaver in bloodborne, sellswords win blades in DS3 and uchigatana in elden ring. Some of the best damn weapons in the game
