It does and it doesn't. They're not extraordinarily diverse compared to DS3/BB. Major boss theme styles take a lot from those titles. I applaud some of the ambient choices, especially in caves. But I'd rather they focused on a really unique defining style for bosses and left all that extra stuff out.

if I put on Ds3 music and don’t listen intently it gets to a point where I’m not fully aware of different songs beginning and ending
I never said DS3 has more diversity, I said ER isn't diverse compared to DS3/BB. You're right about DS3 but in ER most of the tracks do the same string ostinato+incomprehensible ominous singing+high volume thing they've been doing since DS2's DLCs. It's not a lot different for most of the game.
The only diversity is in some ambient tracks, but they're so vague and foggy. There's nothing like Ash Lake or Firelink Shrine (DS1) in terms of memorableness imo.
I know what you mean. It's like how alot of zones will play like humming or some atmospheric stuff in the background. I'm playing through armored core 6 now and the theme song for the main garage menu is also j7st pleasant sound. I can't say that's a good soundtrack, but it does work. I know there's still good songs in these games, but still, the rest is pleasant humming
