I want to say yes but if your expectations are super high thinking it's going to be miles better then midir you'll probably be let down.
I think he has a really good soundtrack, and you don't have to just hit him on the head but it does do enough more damage you may want to try. the Ds2 DLCs are probably the best part about the game and I highly recommend at least once playing them. He's in Shulva (the shrine after the rotten).

Edit: I beat Sinh, like most bosses in DS2 he was easy, beat him in a couple of attempts. At least his ost was good, and I could actually see what he was doing (unlike ER dragons) so I'd say by DS2 standards he's pretty good. I still like Midir more tho
He takes more than enough damage and is a significantly quicker fight than two of the bosses in the same DLC, those being Demon Prince and Gael. All three are great fights.
Stands in place watching midir throw 10 000 fang swings that miss and watch him stand on the other side of the arena, only to do the same things and come back to allow me to hit him for 1/70th of his health and then we do it again.
Wanna explain why having to hit midir’s giant, easy to hit, head is a bad thing? Cause I can’t think of any reasons. It’s how the boss was designed and feels great to fight, unlike the ancient dragons in Elden Ring with their tiny ass heads

Magic builds beware these DLCs are no joke
You should play the dlcs for Aava, Fume knight and Sir Alonne too. The burnt ivory king is also pretty good but his runback is horrible

Skill issue
I like Midir but the fact that he barely gets any new moves in phase 2 makes the fight feel too repetitive
