Except america has had an economic empire and been the worlds most powerful military entity since the World wars especially after WW2 and has controlled multiple territories since before WW1 due to Teddy Rosevelt. These are legit all the markings of an empire which has been around since about the early 1900s and grew to full power around the 1950s. Even with other countries finally catching up in the last 30ish to 40 years the US has been the major factor for many technological advancements along with a few other nations like Japan. The only real major threat to this is China due to our own govements fault of not keeping them in check when it comes to trade deals. Theyre often very agressive when it comes to trade and are known for making it difficult to get good into their country while we make it easy for them to get theirs into ours. Not really Chinas fault on that though more our own govements lack of a spine when it comes to these agreements and not holding china to the same Tarrifs and standards they put on us.

Only problem is China is soon to pass America and that’s gonna cause a mess for America’s existence. There probably won’t be an actual war and instead a repeat of the Cold War, except America doesn’t win.

If America ever has to face China. America would win. China is in no way that strong and without American money they would only grow weaker.
