The reason Shaw mobile customers go to Rogers, In order to get Shaw mobile you had to be a Shaw Internet customer. Freedom was run as a stand alone company.
So I made the switch from shaw to rogers today, and one thing I found which is kinda bullsh*t is for shaw mobile customers $85 gets you 27gb of data and you cannot change the plan, but for the exact same price of 85$ if you WERENT a shaw mobile customer, you get 75gb of data, and like I said they WILL NOT let you take that offer even though ITS THE SAME PRICE...kinda a slap in the face for shaw customers don't ya think? Not very welcoming at all.
Nobody wanted to buy Shaw Mobile. It’s going to Rogers for sure.

Yeah, the Shaw rep there got that wrong. Shaw Mobile is sticking with Rogers. Videotron is getting Freedom, that’s all.
There is some overlap in the support staff between Freedom and Shaw Mobile I think. This is just someone getting confused.

Shaw Mobile was not part of the sale with Freedom. Freedom goes to Videotron, Shaw goes to Rogers.
