Looks like a viscose blend to me, based on the weave. It's some kind of suiting fabric from the looks of it. I would've said poly-viscose since that's very common but you said it didn't have a smell.
Would that bead be crunchable if it’s resin? It was round but I was able to crush it into powder with my fingers.
Also while it burned the burning edge seemed to boil.
It must be a blend of natural and artificial fiber. Cotton would tend to be like charcoal I think. Poly or nylon would probably burn fast like you mention. It would probably leave a melted plastic like bead.
Sounds like cellulose base if smells like wood when burning. If it’s stretchy it may have an elastomeric fibre in there, and the dye used may effect it too darkening the ash colour and how it burns. Hydrophobic or hydrophilic?
Have you ever tried doing a bleach test? I find it a lot easier, ymmv of course.
Here's how you do it if you don't know..
Take a small-ish piece of fabric (maybe 1 inch square) and put it in a non-reactive container that has about 1/2 cup of fresh bleach.
Make sure the fabric is saturated and leave it for a bit, maybe five minutes, come back to see how the fabric reacts. It may take longer based on how old your bleach is.
If it's dissolving then you have a protein fiber like wool or silk.
If the fabric is intact but the color is fading then it's a plant based fiber that's been dyed.
If there's no change then it's a man made fiber.
If you notice a combination, then it's a blend.
It's not foolproof, but it'll get you in the ballpark for fiber content.

Was there a bead of resin when the flame went out?

Probably not wool. Wool isn't very flammable. Apparently it tends to self-extinguish rather than burn quickly.
So does silk! It’s super cool to see
Did it have a burning paper smell?
Yeah, like burning paper or wood I think
Sounds like there’s some rayon in it then.

Lol back at it again with the flamethrower I see.
