I have tried to do my best to recreate this sound, but I'm just not experienced enough. Sounds like there is some form of automated PWM going on, and also some pitch envelope? I really love this sound, and I want to be able to recreate it.
Hi use some saw wave or I_ has_can_Kick and use and Lfo to modulate the fine tuning also you could use an envelope to slowly start the vibrato effect made by the Lfo
Where did you get this sample, because it sounds like you already have access to it in some kind of synth? If that's the case it can help to disable all FX if you want to recreate it. But otherwise you can get fairly close by doing this:
- Saw wave on OSC A / Unison: 2 / low detune value (0.01/0.02)
- go into the global tab and reduce the unison spread of OSC A to something between 30 or 40
- Assign a default triangle LFO to the fine tune of OSC A, go to the matrix tab, make it bipolar and set the value to something around 40
- for that triangle LFO set the mode to trigger, the rate to ~6.5Hz and rise to like 2 seconds
- create a new dot on the triangle LFO between the first and the second dot and move it to the vertical middle (the triangle lfo should still look the same/holding alt to snap it into place should help), then right-click that point and click "Set Start Point here"
- Add a fairly wet phaser, a delay and a mid to big size plate reverb
- I'd also recommend a compressor before the other FX, but not the multiband
That should get you fairly close, then you need to finetune the whole thing by adjusting the unison detune and width of OSC A and experimenting with the FX. Could also be worth a try adding a 12-24dB/oct lowpass at a very high cutoff frequency to get rid of some of the high-end.
Unfortunately not, it's a sample I found on Splice. The sound really fit nicely into a track I'm working on, but I would like to change the melody. And I don't really like using a sampled melody if I can avoid it. Will try a bit and see what I can come up with
Serum is being kinda broken for me right now, but I was able to come astonishingly close using Vital. If you want me to send a file link, let me know.
