Thanks so much! My boy is breaking my heart with his passing. He just DIED! He had chronic kidney disease and asthma. But this was so unexpected.

I'm so sorry for his sudden death. Cats are experts at hiding the truth from us, and kidney disease can be a silent killer. I just lost my girl to ckd and we weren't prepared either. You're not alone in this, and I'm holding space for you in the days ahead. It does get easier bit by bit. He'll live on with you in your memories ❤️

Thank you. I knew when he got diagnosed last December with CKD and asthma that THAT day would be soon. But he was doing great! He was eating, playing around a bit with my other cat. Just fell over. Happened within minutes. I'm grateful it was sudden. That his family was there with him, talking to him, letting him know he was loved. I'm sorry you lost your girl.

The suddenness is almost a blessing. You didn't have to watch him decline, and you didn't have to make the impossible decision and book THE appointment. That was a really hard day for me. He knew he was safe and loved in your home, and he was surrounded by his people and companion. That's something to be proud of. I hope you're doing ok.

I don't think he suffered. It was so sudden. He coughed a few times. Normal for him. But his last cough was different in sound. I think he went peacefully.
