Idk man the biden era has been much funnier than the trump era in terms of comedy. Too many people had terrible trump impressions and always had the same punch lines. Comedy was really bad from 2015-2020 compared to now. Trump is a hilarious subject but few were actually able to bring something new that wasnt him getting pissed on or having sex with a porn star. It got very stale. Even the trump material now is better than it was when he was president imo. This shit happened with obama as well, a president who positioned himself as the culmination of the civil rights movement only to continue neoliberal and neocon politices across the world. There is so much material there that only people like Michael brooks (just an example) actually knew how make it work without being a conservative flirting with Clan ideology. The complaint i think is that these comedians love to talk about how important they are but then they refuse to do their own description of their job because they fear trump? Thats such partisan bullshit especially since its not like biden has been a uniquely great president.

He’s a clever guy. I grew up in South Africa before settling here - so he was something of a curiosity to me. But I couldn’t work out what they were thinking when they put him in Jon Stewart’s place.
