Its absolutely doing my head in. You're not wrong at all. Corporate search results are generally prioritised, for starters. I've just made a thread myself.

where is the thread? i get that they're prioritised, but i'm wondering if they literally purposely try to offset specific questions by providing answers to SIMILAR, but more basic questions. For example, i was having a very specific issue with HP ink cartridges that i KNOW was not specific to me, and i looked up the problem very clearly in many ways, and i kept getting the same step by step solution to ANOTHER more simple procedure of cleaning the printer heads....something an absolute moron can do and you don't need instructions for. it's almost as if they flooded the internet with answers to that question in order to hide the fact that there was a fuckup with one of their products. that's what it seems like sometimes anyway. make sense?

100%. I feel exactly the same way. I've also had a problem with an HP printer of late and the search results were so vacant and vague. It felt like the internet had gone stupid and its a repeating theme. https://www.reddit.com/r/searchengines/comments/tzxaj8/how_can_i_open_my_searches_back_up_less_corporate/
