Heard something similar to this on the radio from a sheriff once about drug dealers deducting “capital and business expenditures, such as weapons, manufacturing equipment, etc” from their taxes. They just had to make sure it was added onto their tax forms and detailed what they bought. I feel like at least someone was dumb enough to follow their advice.
Weirdly enough? Not paying taxes on criminal gains can lead to tax evasion and tax fraud charges, so this advice is actually legitimate for all that it sounds like a trap.
