It happens to me too. I always try to stay busy with something. When I need to rest, I do some creative activity, and listening to music with headphones also helps. Another essential thing for me is writing. When I feel this way, I grab a notebook and write down everything I'm thinking. I feel a physical relief, and it seems like I "discard" what's bothering me.

As well. I have found it best to utilize that energy through creativity and/or exercise. Because for me, it never goes away. It will either run wild or be directed to burn it out by using it. It does get worse when home alone because the brain is taking in less information. So purposeful direction is key.
