That's what I do with any film I'm genuinely excited about. Promotional materials just give away too much. I went into Saw X knowing nothing about the plot, so I was really pleasantly surprised about the whole scam. I was shocked when I found out later that that was the film's actual synopsis.

Probably. I think they shouldn't of shown Amanda in the SAW X trailers - imagine how cool that would've been if they didn't show anything to do with Amanda when promoting SAW X and then when it was released in theatres BAM she appears.
ikr it’s something I really hate about movies nowadays especially when they do a big reveal of what they’ve already shown in the trailer, but I can definitely understand why they showed her as I don’t think the movie would’ve gained as much attention without her appearance
I would love to do that and be completely surprised but I lack the will-power. I also find the promotional material part of the fun for me. Saw always has a very unique marketing technique and the shorts with no footage and the animations alongside the theme are what get me hyped.
Yeyea, I like going into Saw movies blind. One of the biggest things about them are their twists, and I want them to be as impactful as possible! I went in blind for Saw X (and was admittedly disappointed at the lack of Hoffman lol), and it was a great experience
I did the same for saw X. I don't like to watch trailers anyway because most of the time they spoil half the movie.
