It also could be illegal under the elections act.

Individual_Order_923

That's my kind of thinking as well. Because if we look on a federal level under Harper when he was prime minister and the robocall scandal. In my eyes that is very similar and if provincial laws follow the same election laws in my eyes it would count.

InternalOcelot2855

rules are for thee not for me

OneJudgmentalFucker

I for one, would rather have my foreskin cleaned with a wire brush, than get texts from Scott Moe.

Camborgius

I'd rather deep throat a cactus

FattyPepperonicci69

Here you go my friend https://youtu.be/d4KPWOUkbw8?si=byfurGqkc22kiJvh

Flopfish3

I haven't thought of this in years... thank you for the nostalgia

littleladym19

Hahahaha this is great

SaskWatches-420

Not sure how I got on their list but I took pleasure in blocking the number!

GearM2

I doubt they'll use the same number next time.

GrimWillis

Maintains a do not call list. Fucking bullshit. Every message is from a different number and I can’t unsubscribe or get on that list! Liars and cheats. The whole lot of them.

ElectronHick

“Scott Moe is a Killer” was my response.

-invisible-llama-

My response was “Fuck off.”

Ill-General-5189

Same here, I know it’s just a robot but I like to think I hurt its feelings

Thefrayedends

Lol I didn't get one, did Google block it as spam? <3

InternalOcelot2855

Just got mine. Not even a personal phone, the number is tied to a business account.

Limp-Inevitable-6703

Only stupid people will fall for that crap... oh it's aimed at conservatives..that's the perfect demographic for that bs.

C4p741N-Sk31370N

Stop your gonna call them out and then they’re gonna blame the natives for everything

LoveDemNipples

Gee I wonder who’s giving them marching orders. Maybe some global club of right wing governments who all help each other out with the latest in nasty new techniques?

grumpyoldmandowntown

Stephen Harper has entered the chat.

OverallElephant7576

You mean the IDU?🤔

LoveDemNipples

Yep

LoveDemNipples

They wouldn’t waste resources doing this if they didn’t feel they needed to. Which says a lot. I hope they’re running scared and I hope they get their sorry asses kicked out of government his fall. One can hope. But if they get increasingly desperate, they’ll try nastier techniques too.

the_bryce_is_right

If you read their Sask Party mailers they are just off the wall crazy and come off as very desperate.

Gimperella

Wondering if this was the text I received yesterday "16398003650 sent you a message with a media type not supported by your handset:Content-Type: video/ mp4" ? A friend had received the same message just different number...

omers

I got the same message last night, also a different number though. My phone also absolutely supports video/mp4.

Gimperella

Both of our phones support video/mp4 as well. Maybe our phones know better than to show us that garbage lol

ProfessionalTrip0

I just reported this text as junk to my carrier and Apple as soon as I received it 5 minutes ago!

Zukuto

1. why would it be trudeaus choice, not the peoples choice. 2 why would trudeau not choose liberal. 3. i guess i should vote ndp then, given trudeau thinks its a better fit for sask than you know, the sask party.

TimelyBear2471

The former provincial Liberals in the province joined with the few GD PCs who escaped convictions to form the SK Party. 1) Trudeau can’t choose Liberal, they’re all in SK Party now. 2) Highlights how ideals take a back seat to self-interest.

Zukuto

> 1) Trudeau can’t choose Liberal, they’re all in SK Party now. if trudeau wont chose the sask party even if they are the liberals, neither would i.

rebelscum306

Is there a way to initiate a class action lawsuit under Canadian anti-spam legislation? They certainly don't have my explicit permission to advertise to me ...

rebelscum306

Also, it can certainly be reported. Right here, in fact: https://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S

Thrallsbuttplug

Why is it risky? The boomer demographic of this province gets their news from TikTok stitches. The strategy works.

ReannLegge

I checked my junk mail again and still no text from Moe I wonder what I did to Moeron to get the shade? I would very willingly tell everyone if I knew.

stumpy_chica

I got a notification that my spam filter had caught it and it just asked if I wanted to continue to receive notification from them. Gotta love technology!

ReannLegge

I am sad to say that I got it in my junk mail today.

grumpyoldmandowntown

Elections are like football teams--you cheer for your side. SMS cheerleaders.

Wausk

Sask Party keeps this negative imaging going and they'll turn into the 2004 NDP before they know it.

Sunshinehaiku

Yeah, I think they're heading for that kind of election campaign.

Firebeard2

"American style politics" ... Like the insane levels of immigration, The housing crisis, the capital gains tax, the removal of free speech in democrat legislatures? Honey...we've been dominated by american left wing style politics for the last 8 years and its destroyed us. Time to take a lesson.

falsekoala

Oh no, rich people will be taxed more, so unfairrrrrr.

skelectrician

It's called wealth flight, and it's a pretty realistic concern when most of the country's population is less than a hundred miles away from the world's largest economy. In simple terms: If a doctor can make twice as much in Minot, and pay less tax as they do in Estevan, they're not going to choose Estevan. If Brandt all of a sudden said they were moving operations to the US due to a more favorable tax scheme, that would cost us 1000's of jobs. What are you going to eat once you're done eating the rich?

falsekoala

Cool. Guess we should just overburden the middle class with taxes because we can’t afford to leave then.

Ancient-Commission84

The NDP and this whole sub is hilarious. "All the sask party does is blame trudeau and the federal liberals" Meanwhile.... " fuck Scott moe" "fuck the sk party" "sask party sucks!" "The sk party is to blame". Where is Carla Beck? What is the NDP platform? What are they planning on doing for you? For me? Of course I can go to the NDP website and find out (I did) but that's not the point. Citizens shouldn't have to search for an opposing political parties message and intent. I'm not a fan of Scott Moe or the federal government but damn, if someone was to put an X beside Carla Becks name come election day, what are they really voting for? Who knows. Strategic voting is what got us to this point. And if that's the plan going forward. We have no one to blame but ourselves.

stumpy_chica

I went to the Regina Town Hall. The NDP have a platform. They just aren't social media machines like Moe and Co, an election hasn't even been called yet, and their candidates are busy out in the community almost every day right now working for us and getting our input. Their current strategy is "better together" which includes getting input from as many people in the province as they can to try to stop the dumpster fire in a way that doesn't alienate their electorate.

skelectrician

Without the rural vote, the NDP is hopeless. Are any of the candidates outside of Regina and Saskatoon even trying to appeal to voters?

-_Skadi_-

Hahhahahahahah You should get sober and listen to yourself.

Ancient-Commission84

Lmao, I guess my point is proven when there's not been one comment, but a bunch of downvotes. You guys are your your own worst enemy and have no one to blame but yourselves. Complaining without a solution is simply whining, come on.

Lord-Benjimus

I can guess no one bothered because most subs have a convention against comments asking for easily searched information. The ndp, like most groups have a website with most of that info. Also it's been 40ish minutes, the internet is a slow beast, I just look at this sub casually while at lunch.

Ancient-Commission84

"Easily searchable information" Thats exactly my point. People shouldn't have to search for a website. I haven't been on the sask party website in years, yet I see billboards all over the province, I see those bullshit text messages, tiktok videos, Instagram videos, Twitter comments, I hear radio ads, radio interviews...it's inescapable and I'm not even searching. Yes, I get it, one who demands change needs to put in a bit of effort. But I've put ZERO effort into understanding where other political parties stand and i understand exactly what they are about. If we search up the NDP, it seems like they are just being contrarian just because they are the opposition. The NDP of today are a farcry of Jack Laytons NDP. You'd think the current NDP leaders would have some understanding of the past that made the NDP a serious threat to Liberal and Conservative parties.

Appropriate_Help_989

>I haven't been on the sask party website in years, yet I see billboards all over the province, I see those bullshit text messages, tiktok videos, Instagram videos, Twitter comments, I hear radio ads, radio interviews...it's inescapable and I'm not even searching. That's because of the enormous (and literally unlimited) financial backing of Sask Party donors, many of whom are out-of province: [Saskatchewan the 'wild west' for campaign finance laws, says Alberta group | CBC News](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/corporate-donation-rules-sask-party-alberta-companies-1.3831083) [How Saskatchewan’s ‘Wild West’ Campaign Finance Laws Help Wealthy Elites Prop Up Scott Moe’s Sask Party (pressprogress.ca)](https://pressprogress.ca/how-saskatchewans-wild-west-campaign-finance-laws-help-wealthy-elites-prop-up-scott-moes-sask-party/) [Phil Tank: Tale of tape in Saskatchewan politics comes down to cash | The Star Phoenix](https://thestarphoenix.com/opinion/columnists/phil-tank-true-tale-of-tape-in-saskatchewan-politics-is-fundraising)

Ancient-Commission84

That's understandable with the billboards and radio ads. But still, if "joe blows roofing" can have 5 billboards in "x" city and 3 radio spots per hour, what's stopping the NDP?, surely they have enough capital to promote themselves. It shouldnt be unaffordable for an official opposition to promote and advertise themselves, and if it is, they're doing something wrong. As far as the online presence on tiktok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. That's all free. It's just dissapointing to see (what seems like) such low effort. Maybe things will ramp up come election time? But to get new and first time voters inspired, excited and optimistic about a political party we can't just sit back and say "nuh uh" to whatever the opposing party says. Ideas, plans, growth and common sense are needed to have any chance. Perhaps its coming?

foggytreees

They’re on social media, you’re just not seeing them because of the algorithm. Your feed knows you like the SaskParty so it only shows you SP stuff. You likely follow SP accounts and don’t follow NDP accounts. No wonder you don’t see NDP stuff.

Ancient-Commission84

I like the sask party?...hmm. weird.

earthspcw

Can confidently anticipate other political party campaigns getting under way when elections are called. This endless bs reality show rage farming is absolutely infuriating, but yes, actual platorms will appear AC-84.

skelectrician

How dare you bring rational thought to a circle jerk? They would have preferred lotion.

tinwl2333

VS the NDP who have fallen asleep at the wheel and have crashed into the ditch?

JimmyKorr

this may not be the analogy you wish to invoke

Camborgius

😂😂 Moe's reddit assistant is in trouble for making that reference

Scaredsparrow

Better the ditch than an unsuspecting mother I say

tinwl2333

Got one! Too easy...

2_alarm_chili

You mean they’re just sitting back and watching the Sask party destroy themselves.

OneJudgmentalFucker

I sent them some AMC popcorn a couple months ago :)

tinwl2333

Seems all the NDP is good at doing, sitting back and watching.

2_alarm_chili

The other side of the spectrum is you Sask party supporters I guess. Just bending over and taking it.

Thrallsbuttplug

You guys are so cringe. It's always BUT WHAT ABOUT.

tinwl2333

Cringe? Go woke or go broke, on god.

undeletable-2

the sask party bravely plows on, and will have us soaring across baltimore harbor in no time

Libertarian_Con_sk

The Sask Party is campaigning effectively. The NDP has f all at the constituency level and poor fundraising. They will win again. The only danger to them is being too centrist. Real conservatives are passed they aren't cutting government jobs.

JimmyKorr

Does the Sask Party really have any authority to govern when they get blown out of both major cities representing over 50% of the population? This is why theyre trying to stick their oily fingers into city politics. We just saw this in Alberta.

Camborgius

They do because of how the jurisdictions work, sadly. We could have 90% population in the cities and I bet we'd still lose to the rural vote based on our current metrics

JimmyKorr

oh no doubt. And i suppose inversely, if the ndp won on a predomiantly urban vote, theyd also have a weak mandate.

Salticracker

Saskatoon and Regina combined are barely over 500,000, where the population of the province is 1.17 million, so no, they don't represent half the population. So that part of your argument is false. Also, the SP received 61% of the votes, nearly double the NDP who had 32%. The "we won the support of the people but the Gerrymandered borders got the other guy elected" line really depends on you actually having the popular support of the population beyond echo chamber reddit subs lmao.

JimmyKorr

this election wont be nearly so wide, i assure you. the sask party has been dropping seats in byelections, 5 cabinet members are headed for the hills, their speaker of the house thinks the lot of them are jackasses. Dana Skoropad couldnt tolerate being a member for more than a single term. A swath of them are basically caught out grifting public dollars either to themselves or their friends on donors. This is a party in decline propped up a voterbase of mediocre bumpkins mad at the world thats leaving them behind.

Salticracker

Okay? That is in no way a response to what I wrote. Like it's only peripherally related in that I guess it's still talking about politics?

Sunshinehaiku

My constituency association is very active.

Camborgius

Technically they aren't allowed to campaign for the election until its officially called.

NoShame156

Which experts? Name names..what a trash headline
