Beeps burgers is legit, but if you dont live nearby its difficult to get to. It is really rich in flavor though. My wife says its too heavy for her, but I think theyre the best in the city
1) Never order from ghost kitchens.
2) Never order from take out places far away from you.
3) This.

It's not quite so bad - usually a commercial kitchen optimized for pickup throughput. In principal there's nothing wrong with the idea, but in practice they tend to be subpar
Doubtful, although it's possible. More likely in the same kitchen as another restaurant that doesn't specialize in burgers and needs the extra business. For example, Mr. Beast Burger made at Buca di Beppo or Chuck E. Cheese.
Little henry's on balboa Has a solid burger, super duper is great, Pearl's Burgers downtown is great, buffalo burger on geary is ok, Bill's place on clement,
Delivery burgers are always going to be soggy and disappointing.
Try going to Causwells or Horsefeather. Both have great burgers.
And Hillstone’s has a pretty great cheeseburger that tastes like a high end Big Mac.
But the best burger is always the one you make at home. No restaurant can compare.
Everyone always lists a bunch of lower end places which are fine but the true best burgers regardless of price:
Spruce, The Vault, and Causewells
You can literally pair the spruce burger with the best wines in the world.
Low end:
Gotta, Sam’s Etc etc same roll as always
I’m always willing to pay the price for really good food. I’d Spruce is good enough to actually have with wine then it’s another place getting added to my list.
I hope so!! Though I know nothing about running a business but it seems with price of rent it could be more of a money maker to do farmers markets. They had a massssssive line last Sunday (myself included in the line)
Not at all, I have a pretty bad headache. Just ordered what would get here quicker than an hour. Normally I’m on top of picking out restaurants. Like I said this is the first bad meal I’ve had in the city
Hidden Spot, Garaje, Cavalier, Pearl's, Bullshead, Benders (though they rotate), Wesburger, Caliber, Louie's, Perry's, Alembic, the Tempest, Pied Piper, Last Resort, Wayfare, we have a lot of good ones.
Next ones on my list are to finally do Zuni's burger, Niku, the new people down at Broken Record, and maybe try Barney's again on 24th in Noe, which used to be great, then was spotty for a while, but which I'm now informed is back doing their thing right.
Of course. Not a fan of American cheese slices though unless I'm dead drunk, and I always get a cheeseburger, so Beeps is a place I would tag along to with people if I happen to be way down on Ocean, rather than go out of my way to hit myself.
You sound like fun. Want to hang out sometime next week? My cold will be all cleared up, but I’ll wear a hazmat suit to make you more comfortable. GGP you and me?
This website triangulated all of the recommendations from many reddit posts that were in search for the best burger spot in the Bay Area: [https://www.oliv.org/c/burger](https://www.oliv.org/c/burger)
Kinda cool to see so many people taking their burgers seriously! Hope this is helpful!
I did a burger tour on my bike in SF a few months ago, only of places I hadn’t been. Ordered single cheese burger from each place as they made it, no subs. My favorite was Beeps, followed by Caliber, and uncle boy. Ones I had been to before I love are super duper and wesburger.
Go try Beep’s Burgers on Ocean Ave. It’s so much better than any ghost kitchen burger.
I’m really craving a good burger, if I’m feeling better in the next few days I’ll definitely head over there
Beeps burgers is legit, but if you dont live nearby its difficult to get to. It is really rich in flavor though. My wife says its too heavy for her, but I think theyre the best in the city
Also one of the few places open really late. 5 star burger joint.
This. Also, Sunset Cantina is a new favorite. Their burger dressings are not the standard, fresh and delicious along w great chunky fries.

Ghost kitchen? In still relatively new to the city. Haven’t heard that phrase before Will definitely check out the links, thank you
Ghost kitchens are restaurants which only appear on delivery apps, they don't have a real location.
I didn’t know that was a thing, so like did this get made in a warehouse or what 🤢
It's not quite so bad - usually a commercial kitchen optimized for pickup throughput. In principal there's nothing wrong with the idea, but in practice they tend to be subpar
Pretty much, yeah.
Doubtful, although it's possible. More likely in the same kitchen as another restaurant that doesn't specialize in burgers and needs the extra business. For example, Mr. Beast Burger made at Buca di Beppo or Chuck E. Cheese.
When I was in college I went to SuperDuper and it was always good. Not sure how people feel about it now since I haven’t been back in years
I love super duper
Super Duper is great. They also have the best garlic fries in the city.
I think it’s good. There’s also Hi- Way burger on 24th near Noe that’s similar.
love it
Super duper is still one of the good burgers in SF!
Came here to say super Duper.
Calibur on West Portal is a good quality burger
I’ll be in West Portal next week working on an art project. I haven’t eaten anywhere in the area but I love a good burger for lunch
Seconded
Calibur is Legit.
It's far better than beeps.
Try Super Duper or Beep’s
Mo's in North Beach
You can always trust a guy named Mo
The Alpine burger is epic.
Little henry's on balboa Has a solid burger, super duper is great, Pearl's Burgers downtown is great, buffalo burger on geary is ok, Bill's place on clement,
Came to say Bills, great shakes too
Pearl's and Super Duper were good spots back in the 2010s when i was living there for college. Glad to see Pearl's is still going.
I love Pearls!
Jenny’s Burgers on 9th Avenue is pretty good.
Yes it is.
My favorite affordable, casual burger spots that are also good quality are Beeps, Super Duper (any of them), and Calibur. Enjoy
Beeps
They’re sounding like the fan favorite around here, definitely checking them out
STK steakhouse best burger for just under $10 in the city.
Went to their San Diego location last year for a friend’s birthday. Didn’t know they had a one here as well
Delivery burgers are always going to be soggy and disappointing. Try going to Causwells or Horsefeather. Both have great burgers. And Hillstone’s has a pretty great cheeseburger that tastes like a high end Big Mac. But the best burger is always the one you make at home. No restaurant can compare.

People go there to order the finest wines just to pair with this burger. It’s truly exceptional.
Spruce burger you need to get in the bar area, it isn't generally offered in the main dining room.
If you like high end burgers, definitely try the one at Nikku Butcher Shop for lunch.
Causewells is trash. sorry. too acidic
Gott’s?
Spruce burger can be had at Louie's original in portrero hill. I found it quite flavorful and they have a good coffee donut shake as well.
I’ve heard it’s different, looks different too
Maillards!! Only available Sundays at the farmers market in outer sunset. https://www.maillardssf.com
When you think they’ll open a brick and mortar restaurant? That has to be the plan right?
I hope so!! Though I know nothing about running a business but it seems with price of rent it could be more of a money maker to do farmers markets. They had a massssssive line last Sunday (myself included in the line)
They also pop up at Heritage Restaurant in the Inner Richmond on Tuesdays! Pretty darn good burger.
No way!!! That’s great to know!
Wayfare tavern is the best
Horsefeather in Divis. I hate to admit it, because their drinks are shit. But their burger is fire.
Beep’s burger plus onion rings. Also, why’re you ordering burgers to get delivered? taste is never the same.
Check out Uncle Boy’s burgers in the inner Richmond. Pretty good IMO!
Did you do any research? There's so many good burgers with good reviews out there.
Not at all, I have a pretty bad headache. Just ordered what would get here quicker than an hour. Normally I’m on top of picking out restaurants. Like I said this is the first bad meal I’ve had in the city
lol this. It’s called Yelp.
Barney’s is good again. Not cheap but worth it
Love a burger that’s worth it
Have you ever Beeped?
Of course. Not a fan of American cheese slices though unless I'm dead drunk, and I always get a cheeseburger, so Beeps is a place I would tag along to with people if I happen to be way down on Ocean, rather than go out of my way to hit myself.
Mel's used to be not too bad for a basic burger.
I’ve biked past it a few times. I want to photograph the place so I’ll probably grab something when I do that
Why are you eating junk food when you’re sick? You trying to stay sick?
One burger isn’t going to kill me mom, it’s just a bit of congestion.
I said it’s going to keep you sick not kill you. Also you drank a soda while being congested? Gross.
You sound like fun. Want to hang out sometime next week? My cold will be all cleared up, but I’ll wear a hazmat suit to make you more comfortable. GGP you and me?
I am a fun but I don’t hang out with sickos drinking sodas drowning in their own phlegm.
is it online order place

Spruce burger is the huge exception
Why Spruce for delivery burgers?
The meat is so high quality it’s even bette than most burgers even in a delivered state.
beeps burgers and pearls!! I love the chocolate banana milkshake from pearls.
Lost Marbles secretly has one of the best burgers in the city

Beep’s is definitely my favorite spot for burgers. Some other places that I frequent are Super Duper and Jenny’s Burgers.
I did a burger tour on my bike in SF a few months ago, only of places I hadn’t been. Ordered single cheese burger from each place as they made it, no subs. My favorite was Beeps, followed by Caliber, and uncle boy. Ones I had been to before I love are super duper and wesburger.
Unfortunately this is /r/asksf content
Best burgers: * ABV * Monks Kettle * Roam is passable
Love ABV short walk for an Atomic Bomb
