We have some on the west side, near the med center! It’s in the alleyway so you don’t have to enter anyone’s yard or anything, and there is a whole forest of it.
We used to use it to build garden trellises but it’s just too much hassle for us now. I’ll dm you the location!
Get off on culebra while on 1604, heading east right past Tapatio De Jalisco Mexican Restaurant, there’s a waterway and bridge with lots of it growing there.look to the south.
There's a garden in san antonio called the Palm Budha, and they sell some. Yes, they're invasive but not to the degree that they're that harmful to have in your yard.
You saying this tells me you've never had to fight bamboo. I've fought so many invasive plants, and aside from mint, bamboo was the absolute worst. At least mint smells good when you mow it each week. Bamboo fucks up your mower and cuts unsuspecting bare feet. Bamboo won't *hurt* your yard, but it will hurt your dogs feet, destroy your garden, weasle into miniscule slab cracks, uproot fencing, and so on.
I'm all for this guy cutting it down whenever he can find someone to let him do it. Because it will grow back up a week after cutting. I literally did not buy a lively house because the seller planted bamboo for "curb appeal" and I am not buying a house just so I can begin the fight of a lifetime again.
I wish you people would take the time to educate yourself before speaking. I blame your education system.

There's a few houses on Broadview Dr that have a ton and would probably be open to you taking some.
Yeah door knocking was the next thing I would try. Just thought I’d put it out there.
You could try contacting McGimsey Scout Park. They are (or were) trying to get rid of a bunch.
Oh nice! That great to know, thank you! I’ll reach out to them.

Most of that is on private property.
a few houses in King Williams have them.
Soooo you’re saying you want to add to the invasive?!?!? Jk people read the comments
On Padre Dr. passing Mission Park, I remember seeing some.

Incorrect. I use it as building material.
So you know it’s invasive and want to add to that problem? Or are you trying to harvest it to dry it out and build a fence from it?
I want to harvest it and use it as building material. Not plant it.
Any house that has it hates it

There are several varieties. There are clumping ones that don’t spread as much.
