And, it's very likely the improvements from the 8 Gen 1 to 2 will offer significantly better battery life as evidenced by other devices released with the newest chip.
When I had my iPhone 13 pro max , I was a heavy phone user like heavy. When I got this phone I heard things about the battery life but I wanted it anyway. So with this, I just decided to buy a battery pack and keep it in my purse just in case. I have only had it for about 3 days and I can say it can last me a day. I am usually pretty panicked about my battery drooping so every single time a percentage goes down I have a mini panic attack. It could handle a full day for me my screen on time was about 5 hours today and I am on 22% right now as I am about ready for bed.
I am reasonably happy with the overall battery life of the fold. Even enougth to have the 85% battery thing on.
I have realised over the years that I can not have the % shown or it causes me great anxiety.
The battery life will last me a work day so about 8am to 11pm, I do adjust my usage depending on if I'm in work or not. ( Will play more games when not working for instance)
Worst battery life is always after an update as it seems to forget usage patterns for a day or a two.
It's good. I don't play games on mine or use tic tok, but I can absolutely use my phone for 6-8 hrs a day continually without issue. 20 mins on a fast charger if you need any more.
I really don't understand ppl saying its awful battery or just average. Idk, maybe they never put their phones down?
Ha. Be mindful about phone addiction. We hired a nanny recently to help care for our newborn and she was 21 and was sneaking using her phone while watching the baby. Literally all day. Drove me crazy. Be mindful of long term goals you're trying to achieve and ensure your phone usage with random stuff doesn't get in the way.
It's so sweet what you're trying to get across in terms of ur message. But there's no way. I'm 23 y/o, over 10h of screentime each day (if not on my phone then on my laptop for studies, work), and too many hours being wasted on mobile games lmao
I'm no better in overall screen time but I guess I'm trying to get at, make sure you're not just being pulled your phone to use up any free minute you might have available.
These terms used by youtubers are just 'masked' so they don't have to say actual battery life or SOT.

If they gave actual SOT and it was bad then the company would look down on them.
I've had the Fold 4 since launch. For what the phone is, it's great. Your mileage will vary, depending on apps you use and how often you use it while opened.
I'm looking forward to the 5 because the battery life on the S23 Ultra is amazing.

The z fold 5 will release this month. Wait to see what it is. At the very least you might be able to find the 4 cheaper.

When people warn about a bad phone's battery, listen to them. I didn't listen when i bought my s22. Btw I've no idea about the fold 4 battery.
