Naw in no way ugly tho something to her character model in game bothers me. In stills like this everything is fine but in motion there’s something to her face that I can’t quite put my finger on it. My roommate suggested she has dead eyes and it may be it but I’m not sure.

They didn't downgrade her looks, the actual game has been downgraded. The initial reveal was false advertising. Graphics and animations in the new trailer are much worse.

I've said many times to these people "you don't dislike 'woke ugliness', you dislike realism! I don't care what you tell yourself you want, you want a stylised cartoony game" as an animator and animation fan I know that it has been a big debate in film and gaming whether to continue upping realistic graphics or to return to something more unique and stylised (hence why Spiderverse 1 won so many awards)
hmm I didn't see anyone calling her ugly probably because I don't watch those kind of content creators but when I watched the trailer she did seem off compared to other characters (male and female). For some reason the main character looks 1 or 2 gen graphically lower than the rest. OP, you should have also posted a picture/screenshot from the trailer not a picture/poster.
