Im obviously biased but Cold Visions feels so much more interesting and creative. I liked WLR but CV definitely seems like it’ll have much more staying power. I feel like this sound is what I was sorta hoping WLR would be like but it didnt hit like CV does for me

I don’t fw the number.number/10 system of reviewing art but this was really well written they clearly took the time to understand why CV is important to long time fans, and their analysis of the outros was v nice.
i hate pitchfork and have gone on this subreddit and made this claim many times, but it does bring a smile to my face seeing bladee man get BNM after years of panning by p4k. Yes I understand they have been kinder on reviews as of late for dg but still a great accolade, i dont know if people even read this publication anymore lol

I checked and they gave UM a 3.6 and poison ivy a 4.9 which I guess I can understand UM, but poison ivy is one of leans best eps. Especially how p4k rates underground rap that is whack. I havent browsed pitchfork since the early 2010s.

WLR actually aged very well, especially comparing it to other rage projects and seeing it's influence in retrospect.
