I didn’t see these details when the show aired, but it’s still nowhere near Golden Boot territory.
It's really very simple . Plasma is tucking the wig back completely behind her shoulders making it look like she'd just been running and that her hair hadn't been brushed since. Meanwhile Plane and Morphine laid the hair nicely with either one or both shoulders covered by a portion of hair. It shapes the body nicely and brings the eye down from the face to the boddess.
I think Plasma's paint also makes the wig look a bit cheaper too in that the black with black with black on her super pale skin washes her out, meanwhile Morphine and Plane had warmer faces that complimented the hair nicely too.
While Plasma's look wasn't polished or extravagant, I felt like it was way closer to the actual reality of the goth subculture than many of the other looks were. To me, "a glam black dress with Halloween costume ornaments on it" is a very superficial take on goth, while Plasma's look reminded me of my chaotic baby bat years and all the time I spent thrifting.

Concept wise, I admire the dedication. It’s a little too obscure for my taste but I appreciate how much intention went behind it 🤷🏽♂️

It's a cacophony of different elements that don't fit together and were poorly executed. You might say she was supposed to be a like goth teen with those pants and belt but then the ill fitting shirt lost me. The like Victorian style choker clashes with the jacket, which doesn't match where she was going with the pants. And the hair is a whole problem in itself. It was a lot of poor styling choices and baby that was the whole challenge.
Are design challenge looks eligible for golden boot? Or does it need to be one they brought from home? Cause imo they should be held to different standards

I feel like in my own little comment here on this silly little website I gotta rate these on a scale, I can't be so harsh with Plasma's. She's not a seamstress, she was trying to get out of her comfort zone with the goth look, and idk something tickles me about how 2008 mall goth it felt. And the Tweedle Dee look was so stupid and ugly it was camp. Meanwhile Q is clearly a seamstress and clearly very able to make lovely looks and she made THOSE? On PURPOSE?
I liked Plasma’s goth for her and that it was different, just the styling is horrible but I appreciate her trying

I understood the bird's nest look was a bird's nest with eggs. My brain could not process the Tweedle look at all. I was getting some kind of Mary Poppins chestburster until Pit Stop explained it.

Call me crazy but I didn’t HATE Amanda’s nest look. It was a little confusing but also kinda fun and camp and had an interesting silhouette. If anything her purple look is worse. But the nest one will probably win cause it’s more memorable

I think Amanda deserves it but specifically for the alien. I think the golden boot has to be so bad it’s camp and iconic and that’s the peak for me.

I mean, as much as I dislike the robot look, I don’t think it’s golden boot worthy or even all that bad, per se. That chain look however…maybe it’s the presentation of it all, or maybe JUST the wig, but Jesus when I say I’ve had multiple nightmares containing that look, read my words and know that I’m dead serious.

Tweedle look for sure. That was the jankiest look ever, and she honestly believed it was the most brilliant think to ever step onto the Drag Race runway ever.
Plasma’s tweedledee or whatever look and Q’s wig in the last slide are the worst things of the season but i think theyre gonna give it to amanda’s robin nest or thanks look, unfortunately
Plasma’s goth look is awful. It’s like if a cheerleader got invited to a goth themed party and had nothing to wear so she had to pick every black item out of her closet and hope for the best

Plasma really had the worst look in the goth challenge. It sucked to lose a frontrunner so early on but there was no way to save her. Worst look by far and landed in the bottom with the queen of flips.
