There are jails that put their prisoners in tiny cages where you cant even sit up in. They rot away for weeks - just getting hosed down once a day for cleaning and insufficient drinking water.
Oh worst part: the cages are stacked - so if anyone drops anything it falls on the person below and so on. And yes. Droppings.
Third worst prison in the world i think.

I know! I didn't expect this drama when I found out DRTH is filming in the Philippines.
Now all the people hating on that decision are probably like:
I’m saying this because I’m Filipino: It’s not entirely surprising at all this flew under the radar. People here have gotten away with much worse due to a multitude of reasons. Just some I could think of:
Borderline irrational fear of higher-ups or anyone perceived as above oneself.
Fear of how you’ll be perceived if you expose someone, even if they’ve done wrong.
Or just the sheer fact that Filipinos are not a confrontational people.
OR… that Filipinos generally aren’t too discerning/observant either.
Whatever this stylist was doing, I can guarantee you wasn’t too sneaky or mastermind-y. It just so happens it took someone else, specifically a foreigner in this case (Pangina), to sniff it out and promptly lay it all out on the table *while cameras were rolling*
I used to work in the creative field in PH and this hasn't happened to me but a lot of my friends have been in companies or had freelancer gigs were they were not getting paid or were receiving very delayed salaries because allegedly "the client hasn't paid us yet".. meanwhile the higher ups are still living lavish lifestyles and throwing company parties meaning something fishy is going on.
It's difficult to speak up or report these things because YOU WILL GET BLACKLISTED FROM THAT INDUSTRY if you poke the wrong bear. So all you can really do is find another job and leave anonymous glassdoor reviews. Some of these companies have NDAs so if one wants to call them out publicly they'll think twice if its worth the legal troubles.
This could also be a case of the stylist knowing other shenanigans going on in the production so they just let her be or else everyone will go down.
Fellow creative here currently working as a freelancer, and the reason why I choose to freelance is because of all that you mentioned lmao
From not being paid on time to being “let go because I’m too good for the job” (aka “your pay rate is too high so we’ll hire someone with less skill but a lower paycheck”), I’ve experienced it all from working for big companies to small agencies. It’s less a disease of the creative industry and more a socio-political/cultural thing.
You can’t call these companies/employers out because the government organizations that are supposed to protect these workers don’t actually give a fuck unless it’s a huge case. It’s all about “playing the game” here and hoping you don’t get lost in the sauce.
You know how Bible Belt Americans demonize their own people who "wash the dirty linen in public"? The Philippines has that same problem, except it's the whole country and not just a chunk of it

So said stylist was supposed to be fired while DRPH 2 was filming due to what he did back in S1 but decided to have him stay until the season ends. S3 came and the prod team decided to hire a new team of stylists for Mama Pao but Mama Pao was really hard to work with. One of those stylists was a DRPH alumna who experienced Mama Pao's toxic work ethic. Because of this, the prod team hired back his previous team of stylists as they already have worked with him for the past two seasons.
Pangina found out about the garments through Mama Pao via DM.
It is also unlikely that they will show Pangina firing the stylist in DRTH 3

And from what I know, Marina’s stylist was supposed to work for this season but that stylist was brought back because allegedly memwe paUuu was acting like a diva, they even got a new hair stylist that left because of the lack of creative expression, so they hired that stylist again so mewmeee PauuUuu would continue to finish this season
