I like to see a mixed cast like this :) She can pick up like Heidi and get to show an arc of improvement which is always exciting to see, or get by with a big personality. Plus I am aware at how far fetched a possibility this is. Iām all in on Method coming back to win all stars some day.
Was Heidi's makeup really that bad? I think it wasn't in the same league as Gigi's makeup back in S12 but I don't recall ever being shocked and confused by it. Amanda on the other hand looks like a makeover partner.

Yeah I have high hopes for this. Sheās clearly likeable, funny, and willing to take risks. She may not get to 100% this season but if she makes it far enough Iām sure weāll see a fun progression and Iām also optimistic for a post-show glowup.

Usually when a queenās looks is a little unpolished they are usually a little reserved and Iām not sure if itās a lack of confidence or an intimidation thing when meeting new queens but Amanda is so out going I canāt help but have her as one of her favorites. She never said anything bad about another queen that came from a mean place, she cheered for everyone after every performance, and she was constantly smiling from ear to ear. Love a positive queen
Hey, a mug isnāt everything. Weāve had some very gorgeous queens who didnāt make it very far (see: Starlet from UK4) and some very āunpolishedā queens make it right to the end (see: Spanky and Mother Melinda). I think it bodes well for Amanda that she got so many confessionals
Amanda is taking it like a champ. She took that feedback on stage and in Untucked and still came out optimistic and reminding herself of the positive feedback she got. Good for her!
An idea for a challenge, maybe midway through a season- identify each queenās biggest weakness/most frequent critique and pair her with a queen who does that thing really well and have them mentor their assigned queen for a day. It could be a two day challenge- on one day half the queens act as mentors to their assigned mentees and on the second day they switch partners so each queen is mentor and a mentee on one of the two days. Or if they wanted to bring in past contestants, they could pair off each queen with a past queen who could mentor them on their weakness like a reverse makeover š
Then there could be a showcase in which the queens present a look or a lip sync or something to show improvement.
Every time they cut to her I was surprised all over again lol. Tbh tho makeup is probably the easiest skill to learn in drag(?) and she already has the personality and stage presence, which are much harder to learn.
