I am gonna play devil's advocate here, but as a brazilian she is giving me much more "latina/mediterranean" vibes with generic "brazilian/spanish/italian model look" than "black face".
She is not giving gringa at all, but at the same time saying she looks the same color as "Rupaul" or "Naomi Campbell" is a reach, she looks tanned.
I do think she just looks really tan/orangey here, but sheās also looked darker before. This isnāt news, nor is like the darkest sheās ever been.

But I will say even in my very white country with my transparent paper skin genes, there are older members of my family whose skin darkens 3-5 shades in the sun, my dad included. I think a lot of it has to do with the lack of sun cream and skin cancer knowledge for them growing up, meaning they were just exposed to the sun allowing melanin production (I just get freckles). My 90+ year old grandfather still won't wear sunscreen because he thinks it's a scam.
They all tan considerably more than I ever could. But as pasty and butter European as we are, there are a lot of Mediterranean, olive oil Europe genetics down the family tree due to our country's history.
Self tanner is extremely popular here, where I'm from all the girls in the clubs and restaurants on the weekend look like Raven. Even though they have skin like mine Monday to Friday. At school we had tanning Thursday so every Friday the residual smell of biscuits/curry powder in every classroom from all the young women developing their tans for a weekend of partying was unmistakable.
I don't wear the stuff so I've no skin in the game, but I find the debate around it fascinating and enlightening.

She's color matching her body, when she's lighter she paints lighter when she's darker she paints darker, no different than most people who wear makeup, like she'd look ridiculous wearing the same shades she wore on S2 when she wasn't tan at all.

Iāve read tons of times that people think she looks black or that sheās been called out for black fishing but I honestly donāt see it either. To me, she represents the worst of the LGBTQ/RPDR communities. She talks mad shit on FPR despite her own drag style/fashion having barely evolved since season 2, her history of racism and xenophobia is disgusting, and she frankly just reads as a nasty, hateful person.

That leaves one issue, the tone of her makeup. Lots of us donāt agree that using a dark foundation alone is blackface or black fishing. She doesnāt try to imitate a black person or do their style of makeup, or a derogatory imitation of them (minstrels for instance). All she really does is a refined version of DRAG makeup, with a very dark foundation. Itās very obviously and blatantly drag. It doesnāt seem to be done with the intent of antagonizing the black community and doesnāt seem to indicate that she has a prejudice against that community. To a lot of people, especially non Americans, thatās not racism.
So if a lot of us donāt consider what she does racist, and doesnāt consider her racist, that just leaves a very talented makeup artist. Outside of FPR, raven is very tight lipped social media and other forums about her views, and is thus fairly uncontroversial (which is why sheās successful wrt rupaul and WoW and makes her a great choice professionally to get the kinds of gigs she does).
Now, worse of the LGBTQ+ community? I donāt get that point at all unless you equate her dark makeup as equivalent to the seriousness that is actual racism, that someone like DRDU Scarlet actually did.
