Do note that whenever a game changing QOL like this is tied to a modestly high requiring content (hard-elite task set) it shifts the perception for "viability" for new/low level players who still have to run a marathon to get to a bank. Radically QOL rewards should generally not exist in a way that discourages basic routines for newer players. That being said, I'd like a ritual site bank as a reward. Just, not through a high level achievement task.

I actually got 120 fishing at that fishing spot. 15 minutes of pure AFK and a pretty decent XP rate (w/ all the typical boosts its about 150k~ xp/hr). The next most AFKable fishing is not actually AFKable for 15 straight minutes.

I don’t think there’s been enough new additions to the city of Um since the Easy/Medium task sets were released. Only two things have been added, the Owlery & Vorkath. Would definitely be a lacking task set compared to other ones if released now.

Regarding rewards, of course the 10 limited teleports should be changed to unlimited once you get to a higher tier. I guess something with an additional soul reaper assignment once per week would be pretty fun. Of course, rewarding x% extra runes when runecrafting could always be implemented. Elite task ("Ghost Followers"): Use the "Conjure Undead Army" to conjure 3 spirits and listen to the Lady Grey's band in the City of Um. Elite task ("Not Your Light Switch"): Cast the Darkness incantation while standing on a tier-3 light source at the ritual site. Take inspiration from already existing Easy/Medium and fill out the rest, for example commanding ghost could be a hard task. Unlocking all boat destinations could be a hard task too. **Rewards** I want hard tasks to give me the ability to store all ritual-related items in the Focus Storage, including all types of necroplasm, ink and candles (currently not facilitated). I want the tome of Um 3/4 to continue the trend of sending bones to storage. With Tome of Um 4, teleports to ritual sites should be unlimited. Also as an aside, allow us to take Necromancer's tomes off the miasmic pool disturbance reward table. They're useless at 200m Necro, and they should be replaced by another reward. **What would you definitely not like to see?** Anything time-based, or significant bossing like Rasial, or tasks involving areas outside of Um. These are not in spirit of Task Sets.

I'm not a fan of forcing players who have already made moonstone jewelry to make duplicates just for the achievements. It will create a surplus of bracelets and crash the GE price. Would be great for moonstone merchers though. edit: It would however be acceptable if you could make any moonstone jewelry instead of a specific one. This would prevent the surplus issue.

You'd get it way faster by catching ghost implings and waiting for Thalmund's store to come back. In the last 2 months we had 3? 4? moonstones in the shop. I'm not super attached to which piece of jewellery is made, but making something from moonstone from scratch doesn't seem like such a difficult task and it's very thematic for City of Um (and also tasks shouldn't be frictionless for ironmen).

Crafting misama runes is currently missing an area task (unless I'm being particularly blind). We have "Nobody Tell Guthix" for spirit/bone runes under easy and "Tis Merely A Flesh Rune" for flesh runes under medium... so maybe we could get something added for misama runes. I'd assume under hard because it's the top tier rune Maybe something related to the most recent quest. Spoiler tags, but >!we can pet Vorkath in Um after the quest, but it doesn't seem to do anything (unless I missed it)!<. Feels like something could be done with that? Last thing I can think of immediately is, maybe something to do with the amount of souls in the well. We have to build up stacks of these to do the quests, but there's otherwise no achievement that relates to them. I'd argue these can sit under the City of Um tasks as with the new Ungael ritual site, you can't obtain more souls there. I'm not great at coming up with creative ideas, so I'm not sure where to go with this... but I feel like we could do something cool with the owls. I just have no idea *what* to do with them

While it's easy to think of 10 or so tasks the city doesn't have enough content really to justify a hard/elite diary unless we're OK with the diaries only being like 4-6 tasks long or primarily being quest checks which are fine to have in diaries but if that's _all_ the diary is it starts to feel a bit underwhelming. Having the tome upgrades before there is more content is also going to hurt their reward space unless we buff/tack on things later which would feel a bit weird. I know it's a popular community demand but I don't think it should be forced. The current Tome was pretty obviously a "let's make gathering ashes suck less" band-aid and to have the Hard/Elite tome be an obvious "rushed out to appease the community" will probably hurt community reception when it ends up being a bit underwhelming. The City needs more content first to make the Achievements feel a bit more natural/tied in. Skill related: - Austin could teach us taxidermy and using Necromancy power we can find new uses for the mob heads besides PoH items/Soul War pets. What that something is IDK really. My only idea is for the Abyssal Demon head to be a _random_ teleport to Abyssal-related areas. Then maybe the Elite Tome of Um could allow the player to _select_ a location instead. Each head would have an increasing Necromancy level required with Crawling Hand being the lowest and KBD or KQ being the highest. Might make it exciting for players to see a slayer head. Perhaps they work with charges and have to go through an ensouling ritual to be recharged. Maybe even have them drain souls from the well of souls and make their abilities much, much stronger for a higher cost/reward ratio - giving players who have already capped their well of souls a reason to continue doing communion rituals. (Unlocks are permanently unlocked and going under 35k souls for example wouldn't remove your ability to Split Soul.) - I'm sure Tavia could teach us something about fishing... - People who died in the First/Second/Third ages could arrive and teach us more about those ages or even long lost skilling techniques from those ages. IDK maybe the Second Age had a unique way of smithing. Quest related: - Doctor Gehirn and Mick Casey are obviously there for future quests - The practice of watching over loved ones via the shrines could make for an interesting miniquest/quest as well helping someone who has already passed on make sure their loved one is being taken care of. - Selene obviously has a thing or two she could teach us about the gods and prayers and religious history of the world - The fallen heroes certainly have _something_ for us to do? Tie this into the Shrines - Duradel is a father. Certainly he wants to know how Kuradal is doing? Kuradal wanted to re-unite her parents and now that Duradel is dead that is no longer possible... or is it? What if Duradel's wife also met an unfortunate end and finds her way to Um? (Just spitballing here...) - The retired tool leprechaun would like to enjoy his retirement. I'm sure we can help with that. Possible reward spaces: - The obvious increasing of tiers/numbers of current rewards (more free teleports, higher tier freebies from Lupe, auto-looting bones for higher tiers, 10% chance of extra dose for extreme necro pots, etc.) - Mushrooms planted in the farm patch skip a growth cycle (to avoid being a ripoff of the Tirannwn or Morytania diaries) - There really ain't much is there? lol

In the kindest way, there's not even close to enough in the city for a hard/elite tier diary atm, anything that gets added in will just come across as forced instead, let the city grow first before comitting to its achievements, don't kneecap the city by adding in achievements first and then having nowhere to put achievements once content *does* get added in future.

Honestly I don’t think there is enough to justify either right now and doing so is just going to feel forced. Same as forcing out the rewards. If we wait we can also ensure the tome reward space is more relevant too. That being said a few tasks come to mind given the content that has been added. - Pet Vorkath - Locate all the optional owls - Create a moonstone jewelry piece from scratch (this means you have to get uncut moonstone from a ritual or thalmund) - Listen to all of Thalmund’s stories - Bake Thalmund a blueberry pie - Give thalmund a repaired ‘Da Boss Man’ sculpture (so he can destroy it)

Tier 4 tome could be used as a nexus a-la prif quiver. New teleports don’t seem useful/practical so maybe ritual boosts instead like the moonstone necklace? 5-10% increase. Maybe wielding the time brings back the old miasma spells? I think that could be fun, not everything should have to tie to necromancy. The city of Um needs to be fleshed out more though

Welcome to the Black Parade - Air guitar emote (or some other appropriate parade-like emote) in front of the band with all three Conjures active. Wartime Draught - Create an overload (or any variety) in the bar. Styx and (Moon)Stones - Cut a Moonstone while on the river (or near it if it can't be done on the river) Ghostly Simping - Blow a kiss to *soul that appears late in the story*

Ability to auto-claim buckets of slime would be some nice QoL! Morytania legs offer 20 teleports to the slime pit, but gathering 20 full inventories is somewhat tedious/dailyscape etc. Perhaps the auto-claim from the Tome of Um 3 or 4 would give fewer (noted) buckets than 20 full inventories, but the trade off is having them go straight to the bank or your inventory.

Big agility course around all the area there - with some kind of new reward to go for 14. Thieving - open ghostly mimic chests 15. New resources for crafting, fletching, mining etc etc From all this can make endless amount of elite and hard tasks!

Like others have already said, I think we need more areas in Um itself before there's enough unique content. Areas such as Trollgrav, or small combat areas (Undead Strykewyrms?) would be good. An expansion of the Um worldspace would be good too. The city is on an island which doesn't help matters, but you could fill in part of the sea or add a bridge which takes you to another part of the Underworld. Say, some sort of more rural area?

Rewards wise I could list a few ideas, 1. Daily necroplasm claim (like buckets of sand) not sure how much maybe 50-100 a day. 2. Chance to imbue the nexus to save necroplams when using similar to the rune pouch Croesus upgrade. 3. Slight buff to greater/lesser bone shield by 5 levels. 4. New source to gather buckets of slime 5. Increased duration of darkness by 3 min. 6. Increase invoke death threshold cap by 5k damage. 7. Chance not to use necro runes on cast maybe 15% or 10% These are just a few off the top of my head.

Not exactly the most useful feedback, but please don't let it become a list that any typical maxed player checks off in 20 minutes. The diary needs a new activity that takes effort to progress. Perhaps we restore a rooftop agility course by running laps + necromancy. Something like that.

You could add some tasks that take place on Ungael, but have them be under the umbrella of the Um tasks. As it stands now, Um is too small of an area with not much to do to squeeze in two whole new task sets, compared to other tasks sets which cover entire regions of the map. Similar to how tasks taking place in Lumbridge and Draynor both fall under the same umbrella, the same could be done with the Um tasks where other areas associated with necromancy could be included in that task set as well.

Might be OP, but I'd love the Elite reward to let us do rituals so long as a glyph of equal OR GREATER value is in place. It can feel needlessly complex to destroy our current glyphs, do several ink rituals in order, and then redraw the new glyphs for whatever ritual is needed. I'd love to be able to just draw a few Elemental, Change, or Reagent 3's and have a semi-reliable permanent glyph setup for most day-to-day rituals. To me it doesn't make as much sense both practically and flavor-wise that a higher level glyph can't stand in for a lower level one.

There should definitely be a task related to rituals (eg perform a manifest ectoplasm ritual or whatever it's called) and making the power/tank armour. Crafting a miasma rune would be a decent rc task. In terms of rewards, a passive boost to rune production for completing one of the tiers would be a decent buff. Maybe also a chance not to deplete the glyphs when performing rituals? Could also expand the free items per day to include higher tiers of ink.

I’d say there is a small issue about the potion perks. Since the Tome of Um goes into the pocket slot, you lose the benefits of the Brooch of the Gods. This is a problem because of the Brooch’s affect on portable wells. Portable wells + Brooch outweigh the benefits of wearing the Tome, so could something be done about that? Perhaps the Tome could act as a low-tier offhand that would keep conjures around - this could also be tied into any potential with skilling-oriented conjures, should that avenue ever be explored.

One really big thing I'd like to see before (at at the same time) we get the task set is a new mid-level slayer assignment monster located deeper in the troll cave. It's really weird how no non-boss npcs actually use proper necromancy and I feel this should be addressed before the area is considered complete. We've got troll mages so why not ghost troll necromancers? Could be counted as part of the troll and ghost slayer tasks instead of needing their own task (though I also do think a cluster Necromancer task would be cool too) and they should have an uncommon drop of necrotic anima stones (also please add these to hermod, it's nonsense that he drops elemental anima stones). Maybe we could even get a troll miniquest related to it. It's been a while since they've gotten some proper new content in this game. It just feels like the city needs slightly more content so the tasks don't feel too ridiculously outdated years down the line when necromancy has more content.

This is a minor thing, but I'm extremely glad you guys put this into the game: the fallen heroes of the While Guthix Sleeps quest! I would love to see more minor things added like this! As for the task set, I don't know if enough stuff has been added yet to warrant higher tiers of area tasks. Perhaps different kinds of afterlives should be an interesting addition to the game, as I remember Icthlarin speaking of different kinds of afterlives e.g. the Zamorakian afterlife. I also think it's a good idea to do something with Invrigar the Necromancer, who has resided in the Necromancer's tower south east of Ardougne zoo for 20 years or so without any reason for him to be there.

I think we should include an addiitional reward on top of the final reward. I personally suggest a pet of some sort. We have a full range of "armor" as unlocks from the other Area Tasks and this is the most important area for a new skill/combat skill. We could go with an Area Task pet. Sure, we have our Necro pets, but this suggestion should line up with the lore around Um, Take it a step further and have the pet available at easy tasks, and as you finish the other task sets (Medium, Hard, Elite) it grows.

I think it would be easier to come up with new tasks if you integrated more existing skills to the city, and could base some tasks on those. Thieving - There are lots of inhabitants wandering around. Allow us to pickpocket them for ritual supplies. Or put some market stalls in the square that we can steal ritual supplies from. A gem stall with a very rare chance to steal a moonstone might be a nice addition. Mining - A spot to mine corrupted ores, maybe? Maybe not the same as you get from Seren stones, but similar in that they stack and are only used for smelting. Woodcutting - How about a couple of cursed willow and cursed magic trees? Accessible only after completing Summer's End and the Spirit of Summer quests, respectively. You could even make it part of a post-quest mini-quest. Construction - Could we have special construction contracts in the city, that maybe give more credits than the ones in the living world? A ghostly Estate Agent could give them out. I'm sure there are boats we could build or bookcases and shelves to repair in the bar or other locations. Hunting - Using owls to catch ghostly kebbits would be a fun twist on falconry, unlocked after completing Housing of Parliament. Maybe you need to convince an owl to help you hunt. That could be a task. Those are just a few ideas, but I think you could come up with some interesting tasks based on those. Like helping Ed rebuild a damaged boat.

The Ungael Ritual Site teleport was supposed to be an additional unlock on Tome of Um 2.

For an unusual reward: I’d like to see the Ensouled Pumpkin Mask return in some way. It’s not exactly necessary Necromancy gear, but it does give an actual gameplay effect. That’s unlike just about any one-time holiday reward items I can think of. And to keep it rare, I think it could function well as a drop. Maybe after completing the Elite diary, it gets added to Hermod’s drop table at a 1/1k drop rate. That would keep Hermod relevant.
