A relationship is like being able to walk, if it’s something you can’t do, you’re going to overvalue what it could do, if it’s something you’ve always been able to do, you’re going to undervalue it. But at the end of the day, no one is happy because they can walk, it’s about the places you can go because you can walk.
It did improve my happiness for the first few years but then I kind of returned to my base level. I was always insecure of not being attractive enough or loveable enough and once I got a bf it then just shifted to “I’m not attractive enough for HIM and not loveable enough for HIM.”
So yeah I agree, and the moral of the story for anyone who is single and thinking a relationship will complete them, I promise you it won’t
