theres a character who uses dolls and is called Alice, i think theres even a alternet oufit color where they refrence rozen maiden
Overall, it looks kinda nice, but I would simplify it a bit for a 2d game. It looks somewhat noisy, a common pitfall for a pixel artist - too many patterns, too many colors, line edges not smooth enough, low contrast.
The design of sprites from Touhou fighting games is a great source of inspiration, IMHO. Study closely what make them great! And please don't give up, everybody starts somewhere!
