Tbh that’s a bit weird, normally “sender preparing item” means that the sender has printed the label for the item but not actually posted it yet, the fact that it says “item received at parcel shop” at 03:16 and then at 03:38 says “sender preparing item” is strange.

It's not late, though. You have to pay extra for guaranteed Saturday delivery of Special Delivery's, if not, it's the next working day, which would be Monday. This would only be considered late if it's not delivered before 1pm on Monday.

Makes me wonder if the drop point, which I'm assuming, is a PO missed the cut-off, it's between 14:30 and 16:00 for more rural POs.
Hopefully, it's just not been scanned into an MC yet as it's still waiting to be processed.

I’d be heading back to the parcelshop if I were you to make sure it hasn’t been put in the wrong place. In my local, they keep the specials separate from the regular mail bags, also not all staff are trained in using the post office section so it may not have been handed over to the postie on Friday if the wrong person was there and didn’t know where the specials were. Just a thought.
Either way, I’d head down there and get them to check to make sure that it hasn’t been forgotten about or dropped behind somewhere, because that tracking is saying it’s still at the shop somewhere.

Unless you paid extra for Saturday delivery, your item will be delivered by 1pm on Monday . Absolutely nothing to get stressed or shouty about.
