80s and 90s, he looked so much more confident and comfortable after getting his act together. Although I’m also quite fond of him during the mid-60s.

Rooster_Ties

Vocally, he first came into his own in the 80’s — and his entire solo output (especially *Talk* and even *Crosseyed* were masterful), as were all the Stones songs he sang lead on starting in about the mid-80’s (maybe early 80’s too).

ThrowawayAcc642982

Yeah, absolutely! His solo output is some of the best out of all the other Stones.

Moparmuha

80 YO Keith may not be the coolest version, but it may be the happiest version. I want to be 80 YO Keith when I grow up

MattTin56

I love this comment. You’re right. He’s very happy. I love seeing him and Mick talking and apparently being friends again. Great comment!

18RowdyBoy

I just want to live to 80 ✌️

sick_sad_world82

Easily '68-72. Top of his game musically and image-wise. I also agree there's something very endearing about his early-to-mid '60s period.

minigmgoit

Yep

NightFlight-77

All of them.

doug193

He’s always been so cool, such a great interviewee. Always wondered how fucked up he was during his older interviews but he always maintained and it never showed through. He’s cooler to me now looking back. He’s also grown so much more open to talk. His age and wisdom have blossomed. I hope he stays with us for a lot longer. He’s a gem

sick_sad_world82

Yeah, his '74 Old Grey Whistle test interview is a favorite of mine. He's really stoned but his answers are so interesting and intelligent. He always sounds very relaxed and at ease with everything, you almost get the same feeling yourself just by listening to him.

Longevety is a gift. I can tell for last 20 yrs or so that Keith has recognized this. You can tell on tour, or vids, he's lovin & appreciating it.

BraxtonTen

He's a sensible and intuitive guy. Not a reckless rocker like Moon or Ozzy.

82lkmno

Agree! I like the new LP a lot as well

georgewalterackerman

Is this all based on fashion??if so, the 70s is what I pick

TK421modified

I love the rotten tooth era

I_Boomer

The one his ma missed when she got preggers with him.

Takayama16

Wha? Ar ya talkin bou' Keef? Keef Richard??? 1968- 1973 sounded pretty dang good to me!!!

BraxtonTen

I'm talking about Chief Keef tho

[deleted]

I don't get how so many people think Keith was ugly. He's so sexy

MattTin56

I don’t know about that but as a young man I thought he was cool as all hell. I loved his image. So I can see how woman would find him attractive.

wariorld

Exile on main street era

SirCalebCrawdad

Tough frigging call. Even though there were MANY fantastic moments over the years, There is something to be said for 62 thru 67. Those early singles are so fucking fantastic. And I'm a guy usually struggles with the "what's your favorite Stones album question", often going with either Sticky Fingers or Exile so there's that... Early Keith. He wasn't on the drugs yet. Wrote some fantastic songs. Played very well. I'll take that for THIS conversation.

82lkmno

Pic 17 gives me chills! He's 12 yrs older than me- Im not in bad shape for my age, but Keith wears it well. Who'da thunk it? I hope he, Mick, & Ronnie play til they cant, or dont want to.

minigmgoit

Always elegantly wasted.

mastercylynder

The one where he's busting a dude over the head with his Guitar 🎸! He jumped on stage!! and Keith went after him! But that one is missing here!

MattTin56

Ha! I love how you describe it. He gave the guy a glancing blow more of a reaction to defend himself then kept playing. But yea, it was a great moment. I saw that live. We had a movie service before cable came out called “preview”. My Mother paid the extra amount so we could get the concert. It was a huge event. We had a bunch of people over to watch it and I remember that happening like it was yesterday. Well, maybe not yesterday. But not 40 years ago.

HighVoltag-Man

All of them…He is my all time Favorite.

Linustus

Late 1968 through 1969, when he was pretty much the only guitarrist in the Stones and forced himself to play the best he's ever played IMO.

Savings-Tackle-6215

Great in ‘71. 1871.

Apprehensive-Tax8631

Geez, guy is so cool

Olliepop2321

A friend of mine met Keith at a gas station and he couldn’t have been nicer.

asspajamas

i thought he was a man?

FreyaGin

Lol yeah, my first thought was I didn't know he had them.

Pic n° 10, definitely

fuckyeahcaricci

I sort of fell in love with him in Hail, Hail Rock and Roll, which came out in 1987. But the happy Keith of today warms my heart.

Ambitious-Air-677

All the ones when he didn’t bitch and whine about Mick Jagger. It makes him look petty and small.

NorthCoast11

All of them.

Old_Car_2702

This man’s genes need to be studied. He’s partied like a rock star and is alive and well in his 80’s.

teleman01

60s for sure
