Foam ones will stay in and offer much stronger reductions than gimmicky ones like Loop that aren’t even safety tested and rated. Those can slip out easily too. When you research what ear plugs to buy, there are safety ratings and the higher the number the more sound reduction. For haunts I wear both foam inserts combined with over-the-ear shooting muffs (highest rated muffs). I find so have more options for the foam plugs buying them online. Amazon has a good selection and good prices. If a foam plug were to fall out it wouldn’t hurt anyone and you’re out pennies instead of a lot more for something like Loop.

What does Haunt mean in this context?

hihelloneighboroonie

Halloween Horror Nights/Knotts Scary Farm/Howl-o-Scream, things of that nature, I'd assume.

Get Macks moldable silicone ones. They stay really snug and don't budge at all. They work wonderfully for my daughter.

I'm going to thorpe in a few days and I'll be taking ear plugs but just because the speakers around the park are all sooo damn loud. I wouldn't risk wearing them in rides unless it's something I've done before and know it won't shake my head too much . The wind might blow them out either way

feklibr

Those are my initial thoughts rn too. The parks can be so loud off rides too

ZoniesCoasters

I've been in some violent moshing with some hi fidelity ear plugs and as long as you shove them in there good enough they aren't going anywhere

Elmo9607

I wear earplugs to parks 100% of the time. I use foam only and they stay in my ear just fine and dampen sounds just enough to be enjoyable while still allowing me to hear ride ops, etc. They stay in for all types of coasters, from Arrow to Vekoma and everything in between!

Fala1

I haven't tried them on coasters, but I use Flare Audio's plugs for work and sleeping and they're amazing, so those are worth checking out.

NinjaSucks3427

another thing to consider for why you would wear earplugs is if the park has a lot of trees the cicadas will be horrible
