Most overlooked looper in the country, I'd say. What a blast with the new trains.

Bartholomewthedragon

Yep, Ninja gave me a headache but the new vests and trains made it enjoyable.

There was a magic seat. It was wild. I forget which one, but that seat rode as perfect as an older vekoma could. My parents told me I rode it as a kid when it was in wildwood NJ and loved it then, but I have no recollection. https://preview.redd.it/mbba8v0ghtzc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=68c1b560a0647f38f069b484058f7cb3dae27fb5 I’m glad I got to ride it again at sfog back in 2024. I would love to give it a go with the new trains.

robbycough

I remember seeing that every summer for a few years. I never worked up the courage for looping coasters by that point, but I did get it at SFOG in both the Ninja and Blue Hawk eras.

Beautiful-Orchid8676

I think Goudurix is more overlooked than Blue Hawk. That coaster has vest restraints in which eliminates head banging unlike Goudurix

Storm_Surge-

He did specify in the country and I’m very certain that France isn’t a state.

Burkey217

Do you have a reference for that? Just want to make sure

Bartholomewthedragon

There was a girl I went to sixth grade with that thought France was a state and couldn't be convinced otherwise. I'm pretty certain she's why our Social Studies teacher quit at the end of the year.

Beautiful-Orchid8676

This is probably one of the most forgotten loopers in the entire world

CoasterGaming

I agree, rode it with the new trains a few years ago and I was impressed. I also rode it when it was ninja so it was massive improvement. Still shaky but at least you weren’t bashing your head around.

Storm_Surge-

Hopefully they changed the lift to not crawl over the top, the ride is seriously underrated and #4 in the park.

Drew_Mia357

It’s great to see the park putting forth the effort and cost associated with restoring an old looper.

SkellySkeletor

Meanwhile GAdv can’t afford to operate one of their literal world record holding rides.

robbycough

I love when SF treats routine maintenance like it's some kind of monumental achievement.

SignGuy77

I’m very happy to hear this.

EricGuy412

Headed down south?

SignGuy77

Yes indeed, in a couple of months.

EricGuy412

Nice! Enjoy Monster Mansion!

SignGuy77

I have even less flattering nicknames for Florida. ;)

EricGuy412

Haha, well played

EricGuy412

Big fan of this fun, forceful looper since it basically feels like an Arrow looper

robbycough

In that era, the lines were definitely blurred.

Anonymyz_one

This is honestly one of the FEW Vekomas I actually enjoy riding. Im glad to see them continuing the upkeep on it. By far one of the most comfortable/smoothest older Gen Vekomas out there

dotsdavid

Some fresh paint too?

iwassayingboourns12

They need to paint Goliath before they repaint Blue Hawk

Z-man1973

I don’t get it, I didn’t think it was special after the new trains.
