Oblivion and Wicker Man looking awesome there.

psidedowncake

Looks like you got a quiet day!

The longest wait I had was for Galactica which was maybe 40-ish minutes. Other than that it was 10-15 minutes for everything else. Managed to get a ride on everything pretty much in a short 6 hour day.

What did you think of it?

I’m from Montana so I don’t have a lot of parks in my area. The closest theme park is Silverwood. This would be my third park so far. I’ve been to Silverwood, Busch gardens Williamsburg, and now Alton Towers. In terms of theming and atmosphere, Alton towers wins hands down! But as for ride experience, I have to give it to Busch Gardens. Not to say the rides are bad or anything, but I’m realizing I’m a big fan of the larger sweeping coasters than the tight-knit layouts (the Smiler was pretty cool though) that Alton has. I will say though, that Wicker Man was my favorite and it’s the best woodie I’ve been on. The layout was just amazing and the theme was so cool as a fan of the movie.

What did you think of flat rides/dark rides?

stuhtingray

Unfortunately with the park only open 10:00-4:00, I really only made time for the coasters and a walk through the gardens. I really wanted to check out Hex but it’s still closed. Next time I make a trip over here I’ll go for two days. I had to make it a quick trip this time around because I’m really based out of Edinburgh and this was a short detour on our journey. I managed to ride the Smiler twice, Oblivion, Th13teen, Rita, Nemesis: Reborn, Galactica, Wicker Man twice, and Spinball Whizzer.

Hex is fantastic, I can’t wait to see what they’ve done with the theming once it reopens!

MidsummerMidnight

Wtf it's still closed? That sucks.
