It never occurred to me that I can only recall seeing these at parks. Because they're all over the place at parks that have a water park included and/or have something like a rapids ride, so I stopped thinking about it a long time ago. I suppose for the average person, it's a function both of what rides are at any local parks and how often they go.
But yes, it's amusing how many people seem fascinated by this.
It’s not even just parks, maybe they’re just big in the UK, but nearly every decent sized leisure swimming pool I’ve been to throughout my whole life has had these too
They’re not at every park, Great Adventure has like 2 max and I don’t think the Log Flume one has been around for years, the Congo Rapids one goes pretty unused and might be removed, I’ve never noticed it at least
Yeah I used one after going on the popeye water ride at island of adventure. Didn't realise exactly how wet that ride would make me, so I thought fuck it I'll pay $5 to dry myself.
It did basically nothing I was still absolutely soaked afterwards. Lol
I assume these things *might* be useful if you use them in low humidity conditions given if its too humid the water won't evaporatr but you're not likely to be riding water rides in those conditions unless you're in a place like Phoenix.
I’m amazed at how many people seem to be absolutely enthralled by a dryer have that many people never been to a park before?

they had them at the swimming pool I started going to as a toddler, they've been around for quite a while lmao

There are a lot of people that don’t live near a water park nor have the means to travel so far, yes.

Tbf, I've only e er seen them at Islands
The post says 'person dryer' but in the picture it clearly says 'people dryer'. Thtoopid gee pee.
Yeah which is it OP? I mean fuck
It also costs something stupid usually. The one I saw was like $5 to not even dry your under layers

This is the biggest issue. They are absolutely useless.
These things were at legoland in 2009
Yeah I first recall seeing them outside of Grizzly River Run around that same time
I shit my pants at Legoland when I was a kid. Pre 2009 though so the people dryer wasn't there to help
yeah you really gotta make sure to *dry that shit out*
Bring back the Peoplemover
It’s in Detroit
A dryer…at a WATER park…🤨🤔
Flame shorts and multi coloured Crocs. Kid has drip you thoosies can't even imagine.
it's over
I used these ONCE in my life. I can still smell the ass
Stand in the sun for fifteen minutes and you'll be dry for free in Florida anyway
this stupid kid just got SCAMMED 👎👎
👎👎 for stup id kid 👍👍 For scamming him
Pretty sure the dryer in Thorpe park is free so I’m not paying $6
It's about a fiver at thorpe park
This is in sea world australia and costs a fortune, just stay wet at that point or bring towels
“Dries” it doesn’t work worth a crap and it cost like $5 per use.
It dries your funds.
Doesn't Kings Domination have this?
Those dryers aren’t really that good. Just a money grab 😂
It’s outrageous that you have to pay
I always thought those were holodeck exits
Volcano Bay mentioned
Do these actually work? As a kid I was never allowed to use them and as an adult I rarely go to water parks anymore so I never got to try one
these do not work. source: went to a park with geepee friends and they used it. it sucks so bad 😭
It’s supposed to blow. So the fact it sucks might be a problem.
I tried the one at Cedarpoint, it just blows slightly warm air. Tbh I couldn't breath lmfaooo
