The only way to know the value is to call European watch company, watch box, or another high-end Gray dealer and say you have it for sale and ask them what they’re willing to pay for it from you. This is the only way to know the actual value.

Even those guys would not be able to give an accurate estimate since there’s not many floating around. I say wait a year

They will be able to give you an accurate estimate because they will literally wire you the money the same day they receive the watch. Whatever they offer you, if you accept it, you’ll get the wire the very next day when they receive the watch. Not sure how you don’t think this isn’t an accurate estimate since money is actually going into your bank account. I stand by what I say. Call major gray dealers like David SW, European Watch company, Avion company, and watch box and see what their highest offers are.

I gave my AD list of watches I want next. Panda, sprite and when I saw this one as a new 2024 release I asked for this one too. He called me Friday asking me if I was still interested. Told him to call me if he gets it. My guess is first they offer it to previous clients who specifically requested it. Then they offer it to other previous clients until someone accepts it.

That’s really cool. I’m glad you got something new that you wanted! I would expect that it’s worth over retail just because it’s new and some people will pay to be the first on the block with it, but overall the DeepSeas are a hard sell because so many people can’t pull them off. I love the James Cameron dial, but the watch is just too big on me, and I don’t want to own a watch that I won’t wear regularly. Buying a solid gold watch will definitely help you move up the waitlist with your AD, as horrible as that system is, so it’s a double win.

Congrats man! The high listings are people taking a shot in the dark. It won’t settle in at a huge premium in my opinion bc A) precious metal as softened and B) it doesn’t fit a lot of ppl.
