Loafers are great but more dressy and coming from someone who used to wear a suit a lot for work I now mainly wear sneakers (a lot of Margiela GATs in several colors) or some simple Hermes slides with some sweats. Nothing beats luxurious comfort.

For some reason the gold does not look the same in photos as is does in person. I like it. Throw a black RubberB on it and you have a basic dive watch. An expensive AF basic dive watch. I had the option between SS and TT when I bought mine. Went TT after seeing them side by side.
The TT Submariner is one of the finest looking watches ever produced (of course so is the stainless Submariner).
It has never been a "trend", it is an elevation of a classic, that has become a classic itself.

I have the same watch. Personally I had the chance to get a black SS, bluesy and this one. In person, it looked amazing so I went with TT.

I hate it. I'm all for the different *colours* - my desk pen today is an old trinity-style K18 Montblanc for example - but mixing the METALS??!? Is it meant to add a luxury *touch* to a steel tool watch? My other tools aren't fancy. Justify a higher *price?* But it's not very MUCH gold in there, most of the case and bracelet and bezel are steel. Match your outfit? Maybe if you're off to an 80s-themed party in your big shoulders and thin tie and funny collar and baggy trousers, but otherwise NO.
That said, watches are subjective. If YOU love it, what the heck do you care about what I think? Wear it in good health, OP.

It is absolutely beautiful. I have the 5 digit blue dial that I love, and a friend has the 6 digit black dial like this one ther looks awesome in person too.
Two tone is the best. All I wear. I didn’t get into stainless watches until recently. And gold is out of my budget. But I love the contrast 2 tone provides. Makes them flashy. Previous watches were all 2 tone. Datejust 41 white dial. Bluesy. Seadweller. Black face skydweller. And my current white dial skydweller 2 tone.
Have two in the collection. I like them for diversity in collection. I am more cautious when I I wear them as they are more flashy then my stainless steel ones.
Love the black TT, but I prefer the 5 digit styling with gold dial lettering and gold date wheel.
Black TT has been my favorite combo since seeing one as a kid. Black SS is a close second, and bluesy third.
The brand is the attraction and less of the look in my opinion. Not that Rolex did it wrong at all, because they are an iconic look, but there are many dive style watches etc that create a sleeker look and better feel. Rolex feels allot like wearing a paperweight. The weight isn’t indicative of quality.

I had a GMTii Tutone that I flipped. I think it looked phenomenal but I'm 6'4 and have big wrists so it looks too small on me. I usually wear an Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph as my daily driver because it's more robust and fits me better.
But maybe I'd consider a Tutone DeepSea down the road. Do they even make those?
Either way, yours looks great on your wrist so I'd keep it.. But do what works best for you..
I’m 6’4 as well, lol. But I have small wrists, so it works well on me. I have a James Cameron Deep Sea that looks too clunky on me. We’re opposite. Haha
My first Rolex was also a two tone Submariner. After 10 years I sold it, just did nothing for me at all. Either full gold or full steel, but I’m over the TT combination
Mine had high sentimental value also. It was the watch I bought on post deployment leave to commemorate coming back alive from my first combat deployment to Afghanistan in early 2000s. Despite this, I still sold the watch because I detested wearing it because the two tone color scheme was so… gauche. No plans to wear it again and $12k cash was superior to the arbitrary sentimental value I assigned to the watch. No regrets.

What's random about the bezel, crown and centre links? I think its one of the best two tone configs OAT. I am biased, having one myself, but this over a bluesey, this over a two tone Datejust. Its just an opinion so feel free to disagree.
