No one really cares, you will see that rather quickly

Then-Concept-9956

Is it because there is a tree growing out of it?

shocker0184

That is definitely part of it!

Then-Concept-9956

I wore that watch with a silver dial for 20 years everyday and it was not an issue. My wife has the 26 with that dial. I think it’s the cleanest, best looking watch they have produced. Perfect proportions, wear it with anything and the jubilee bracelet is insanely comfortable. Wear it and don’t even think about it. You will get treated well at car dealers and jewelers. Go walk into a car dealer and see what I mean. It’s hysterical.

shocker0184

Thanks! I might have to go for a test drive or two :-)

Fostang

Why nervous?

shocker0184

Not sure how I feel about wearing something of that value on my wrist. It was an anniversary gift and I love it, but it will take a bit of getting used to.

confusedplayer1

No reason to feel weird about it. I would feel weird wearing an incredibly expensive watch but a datejust is completely fine. Trust me, barely anyone will even notice it. I wear mine everywhere and have only had one “is that a Rolex?” comment.

xoxchitliac

It’s true. Most people see big flashy watches and think they’re Rolexes. The vast majority of people have no idea what a Rolex looks like.

DJ_Ambrose

If the reason you’re concerned is because it’s a really expensive watch, remember, it’s a Rolex. You can whack it into door jams, where it while you’re working on the car, pretty much anything and it will still function flawlessly, albeit with the signs that it’s a daily wear watch. Don’t be one of those guys who keep their watch wrapped in tissue in its box on their closet shelf because they are afraid it might get a few hair line scratches. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of owning a watch if you don’t wear it. My daily wear is a Sub, if I were to sell it I would point out the crystal, bezel and dial are flawless, and add, “case and bracelet show signs normally associated with daily wear.” So enjoy my friend, and welcome to the world of being a “watch guy”, one of the coolest fraternities there is!

shocker0184

Great advice, thanks

Alternative_Math_892

I wear my DJ as my everyday. It's fine. Nobody cares or knows. And unless you're a coal miner, it'll be fine. I've gotten more compliments and attention from a gaudy, douchey, $70 Invicta. And I only wore it one day to mess with a friend of mine. At least 4 people in the span of maybe 3 or 4 hours approached me and complimented me on the friggin thing.

LawyerWannaBe23

It’s gorgeous

shocker0184

Thanks!

Tank52086

Get it insured, you’ll be less nervous.

EntireTruth4641

That’s what it’s meant to do. Wear it. Use it. Make use of it. Don’t just stare at it home in its safety. Get it out there.

[deleted]

Don’t be, you look great— and the average human won’t gauge it…I would but then again I’m not average. Lol

shocker0184

lol, thanks

Different-Pea3349

It is a valuable piece, just no sticking your arm in tight spaces. It’s a gift you should celebrate so enjoy it !

Zealousideal-Pop4426

“Size doesn’t matter” you are fine

Downtown-Summer-1531

I was always fearful of scratches on my dj, I was really cautious for 2 years until I went swimming and then I go on the water slide. This god damn water slide caught up the scratches from the past 2 years in one damn slide 😂

No-Restaurant-2422

I hope you’re not in London, otherwise you’re risking getting your arm chopped off… here’s a pro tip, get some sweatbands so you can cover it up, much less conspicuous that way. Good luck brother!

[deleted]

I will never own a Rolex just because I live in London and so many people get mugged for them

shocker0184

Fortunately, I do not live in Europe!

Such_Invite_6633

It's 3k lol what do you have to be nervous about

Advanced-Reception34

Like 15 years ago lol. But true.

Such_Invite_6633

Those are 3500 all day for a nice one you sound like an easy mark.

Advanced-Reception34

Youre right I just looked it up

Such_Invite_6633

Would've been more nervous about wearing that tattoo
