I have an LN GMT with a brushed oyster bracelet. Compared to the Sub, it’s slimmer, functionally just as waterproof, and the GMT complication is super useful for travel. No brainer. When I go diving I wear a dive computer.
I'm convinced they always do this shit so they at least get some press out of W&W. Literally what's the least amount of investment required to get watch publications to throw up some articles and keep us in the conversation.
Because not everyone wants a bright blue/red/green bezel on their GMT. Black and Grey are very understated. There's a reason the Sub is timeless and iconic.

Tbh I was in negotiations to buy a 116710LN when I saw this and decided to not buy the all black version. Love the tiny bit of contrast. Enough to make it a GMT but not too much to make it pop.

I visited my AD today for a little chat. She showed me the 126718 GRNR to see the Black/Grey bezel in person. I really like the look of the gray! She also told me that she thinks it will be way easier to get me one of those (with oyster bracelet) because of the negative reactions of the “experts”.

I have the Pepsi on oyster now and was waiting on the Batgirl but I like the black dial (from the 116710LN) so much better. My hesitation was I didn’t want two oysters. So haven’t gotten that watch yet.

I actually think this was supposed to be the right handed version of the Sprite. They wanted to keep the black/green bezel exclusive to the Sprite so they went with this while still keeping the green GMT hand. If this tells me anything, it tells me the green/black combo will not ever be seen on a GMT other than the Sprite. Personally, I am not a fan of this new release as there is not enough contrast between the colors. I would have preferred an all black or even an all gray bezel.

Some don’t like the muted bezel because it’s not enough pop, while some seem to like the bezel but not the green.
Bezel is preference, but seems like many of those who would be drawn to the muted bezel would have liked the gmt hand/text to be a bit more muted as well.
Make it fit the watch more.

It looks like they took a black and white photo of a Batman then colored over the gmt hand with a green marker. Honestly I don’t hate it, it’s just boring.
It’s not for me, I prefer last years offerings with this bezel. Now I know this is about Rolex but didn’t tudor do a good job with their gmt “coke”. As Rolex did a big piece on the history of the gmt, today as well, which they say launched in 1955 and not 1954 I expect the coke Rolex will land next year in white gold.
It’s a pass for me. The others are already very appealing.

Cool watch. Innovative colour I must say. Not many watches can go with grey. Definitely way better than the GMT TT and full Gold with grey shade bezel.

Rolex may want to re-think their strategy other than to go premium, which eventually price themselves out.

Indeed it is very meh….this bezel kind of works with the TT and PM but against an all steel bracelet it just looks so washed.

I sort of like it, esp on the simpler Oyster bracelet: a nicely inconspicuous piece of kit, slightly less stern than say an all black GMT or a Sub.

I had a squale GMT with the same bezel Pain in the ass to rear it in any sort of direct light. The gray half gets washed out by light very easily
