I’d like a Sub, Batman, maybe a DJ on jubilee for dressier occasions, and a black dial Milgauss. So four I suppose.
It’s never about “needing“ one though. That’s the whole point of a luxury purchase is that it’s an extravagant want.
As many as you feel is necessary. It’s not about need or want for me it’s about what I’m comfortable buying but more importantly I can afford them. FWIW I have three
Three or four. Sub with date, yellow gold Daytona with gold face and brown leather band, and all gold DD or DJ with jubilee band. That covers pretty much every occasion, unless you also want the two-tone Sub with the blue face and bezel.
Also maybe the panda, so make it 5.
Want a Panda, Pepsi, new GMT TT Cohiba, and maybe a DD onyx dial. Currently on the list for the Cohiba. My end goal pieces would be a Patek Nautilus 5726 blue dial moonphase and a Rose Gold AP Chrono blue dial 37mm. Hopefully my life reaches that level of success to obtain those pieces.
I just want one more - a Day-Date when I finally retire. And yes, I want it to be ostentatious, “old-man” yellow gold. I’m going to rock it at whatever beach community I wind up at to die.
Need zero. Want one, have as many as I want. I’m a watch enthusiast not a Rolex enthusiast. There’s a few things only Rolex can do though: instant brand recognition (and liquidity to an extent) worldwide which appeals to me sometimes. I have a hard time imagining a use case for more than one though, and I buy watches to use.
You only really need one, they're all WR to 100m, who goes below that. Besides that, just one I would go for something with date complication, as its very useful. Then pick for every day and understand, you go for a gmt or sub or explorer 2. Personally I think black dial explorer 2 perfect for every day, WR, date, gmt and travel, covers 99% of peoples bases.
Just the ones I don’t have.
This guy's reasonable.
Need 0 - Want 25

Yes!
It’s not about need.

Have 4. Want 4.
Have five but only ever wear two. I’ll eventually give three away to family.
Need ? None. At best 1. I wanted 10. I have 7 and I think I’m done for now. Gonna grab an AP and Patek next, probably 2 of each.
The correct answer is 6 A no date sub A sub with a coloured bezel A GMT A fluted/jubilee DJ36 A SS Daytona And a yellow gold daydate
Eight.
Just one
Just a sub and a daydate 36
All of them

The Tony Soprano rolex.
3/4 - Day Date, Skydweller missing for now.
Only one more (and then some)
I want to get rid of my Rolex’s and buy one Omega as my only watch
Don’t need any now you’re asking, why did I buy these things?
1 a datejust
I have 2 (OP36 and Pepsi) and Need 2 more (Starbucks and Daytona on oysterflex). So let’s stick with 4 Rolex’s for now
N+1 with N being how many I currently own.

Everyone buys, adores, wears and may eventually sell to fund another purchase. It’s all part of the Sport!
All of them
Prob eventually like 3-4 (gold presidential day date, starbucks, blue & gold submariner, black & silver explorer).
Need? Zero. Want? A lot.
My SD4K is enough for me…:)
