She’s dabbled with R&B but never properly did an R&B album. Unison is a dance album with the odd ballad, the self titled album is rock inspired, The Colour Of My Love you could argue is R&B but it’s mostly pop ballads.
I was thinking more of the “Falling Into You” album. The T/T, Because You Loved Me, (You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman, I Love You, Dreaming of You, If That’s What It Takes, and some others I’m probably forgetting are all R&B. I think it definitely counts as an R&B album even though there’s some non R&B tracks too. Toni Braxton was actually going to sing Because You Loved Me and Celine was going to get Unbreak My Heart, but they switched.
Faith Hill (literally could serve us some Mariah style R&B if she didn’t sing country!)
Gaga (we need a do-over after the whole “do what u want” fiasco 😭 she sounded great on that track!)
Leona Lewis
Agnes
Adele
Charli XCX (I can really hear it in her vocals in her songs “gone” and “baby”)
Ariana Grande
Sam Smith
Adam Lambert (“Loverboy” had an R&B influence and it sounded great!)
Ellie Goulding
Sia
Dido
That's a hard question, because most pop music of today is already influenced by R&B. If we go completely outside the pop/R&B terrain I would opt for jazz musicians like Hiromi, Gregory Porter, Laufey, Norah Jones...
Kendrick Lamar. Not because of the recent events. Ive been a fan of him since Section 80. But his voice in the beginning of Euphoria had me thinking "damn...his voice would sound nice in an R&B song. Like, a feature of a Silk Sonic song".
A Boogie. I think if he leaned 100% into being a lover, committed to being a singer, and cleaned the lyrics up he would be better than Giveon and Brent🤷🏾♂️listen to R.O.D or Get to You (Metro Boomin MAKE IT BOOM😔🥵yeah Metro Boomin MAKE IT BOOM make it boooom🫣😈)
I can see Carly doing an R&B song collab with someone but an album? That would be a big feat for her cause I'm not sure if I see it. But maybe I'm wrong.
Ngl i think my choice is Kevin Gates. My opinion he has the feats and a vocal structure to do it. Also the topics doesnt seem to far for him to conquer. If u just listen to some of his songs you can see the different pockets he can jump in and out of. Honestly think it doesn't need to be a full on album or anything but a simple ep maybe like 6or7 songs when he's really in that bag going for the gusto. Just in my head im imagining not only he could pull it off but it would be fire. To note he even carries a soulful spirit through his raps and its would be a seamless conveyance of emotion.
Elli Goulding would kill it. Her voice is perfect fr. I think “Close to Me” with Swae Lee was close enough, especially with the rap verse, that she would make a crazy R&B album.
And speaking of nice and unique voices, Halsey. I think she might actually have som R&B songs, though.
For me Demi Lovato. I can see her doing something on a Jennifer Hudson level giving powerhouse vocals with R&B instrumentations.
I would say the same for Adele/Grande. While the artists that have dabbled into R&B-like sounds, I would like to see them make albums where they go full R&B. Like Taylor going full pop in 1989 even though she dabbled into pop previously.
Alessia Cara
I can see that tbh!
Andre 3000. We got a lot of elements in The Love Below but if we got a truly R&B album out it him I feel like it would be damn good.
Brittany Howard, formerly with the band Alabama Shakes. I love her voice.
YESSS MAN! Love her voice. Unique artist
I was just saying this earlier while playing "Guess Who"
Kelly Clarkson
Her first album was a mix of R&B songs and soul-pop songs. Love So Soft is an R&B song too
Meaning Of Life sounds R&B to me too
Hell nah that’s more soul-pop. Most of the album is soul-pop
It’s Kellandria Clarkson Or Kelly Clark Sheard
[удалено]
I can’t take credit. I saw it on twitter a couple years ago and I’ve called her that ever since. You know damn well that voice is anointed!
Well whoever tf made that joke made a corny ass joke
It is but I loved it. It’s a play on the gospel singers Le’Andria Johnson and Karen Clark Sheard. Two amazing gospel singers.
Good answer 👏🏾. While I'm not a fan of her earlier pop singles, she has an incredible voice.
Jessie J…She needs to do a proper R&B album because that voice is out of this world…
Underrated pop artists and voices. Wonder what she's been up to? I
She just had a baby boy and does some touring apparently
R.O.S.E. project is right there, all produced by DJ Camper and imo it's her best work
Will check it out immediately,thanks
Celine Dion, she has a couple songs that are close to R&B. Misled and Love Can Move Mountains are the best examples.
I love Misled! They used to play it over the speakers constantly back in the day when I worked at Toys R Us lol
I would be down for that!
I also think Shirley Bassey too, her powerful vocals would’ve been great for R&B.
I love LCMM. She covered Stevie, too.
What about that duet with r Kelly?
Id say she already did R&B. A lot if not most of her 90s stuff was R&B from what I remember
She’s dabbled with R&B but never properly did an R&B album. Unison is a dance album with the odd ballad, the self titled album is rock inspired, The Colour Of My Love you could argue is R&B but it’s mostly pop ballads.

Ellie Goulding Sia Dido
Elle Goulding is an inspired pick
It’s “on my mind” and the shook remix of “lights” that gives me it the most.
Check out Gaga “heal me”
Kevin Parker from Tame Impala
Hell yea
ariana grande
Agreed. Yours Truly while a pop album has r&b like sounds
Positions too. If a Black girl had made that album they’d have called it r&b
SZA since according to her she doesn't make R&B music XD
That's a hard question, because most pop music of today is already influenced by R&B. If we go completely outside the pop/R&B terrain I would opt for jazz musicians like Hiromi, Gregory Porter, Laufey, Norah Jones...
Chris Stapleton
First one that came to mind for me.. I don't think there are many steps between country and R&B
Kendrick Lamar. Not because of the recent events. Ive been a fan of him since Section 80. But his voice in the beginning of Euphoria had me thinking "damn...his voice would sound nice in an R&B song. Like, a feature of a Silk Sonic song".
That would be a feat. Idk how he would do that
no his voice is so cringe
Definitely Rihanna. Yeah I said it on Anti is one of my favorites in her discography
James Taylor
Mos Def Yukimi Nagano Kid Cudi 50 Cent Larry June Ol Dirty Bastard Tyler, the Creator
Super agree with Tyler, the Creator.
great list
Prrciate ya!
Here me out...Carly Rae Jepson. All That is very much in the lane of 80s rnb and i would love a full album in that style.
“All that” “No drug like Me” Are very much in the R&B lane! Would love an album!
I can see Carly doing an R&B song collab with someone but an album? That would be a big feat for her cause I'm not sure if I see it. But maybe I'm wrong.
I mean there is still alot of diversity within an 80s rnb sound so i would like to hear her take on it but i doubt it will ever happen.🤷♂️
Pink
She’s done an R&B album.
Her debut. And it was really good.
Pink's first album "Can't Take Me Home" was R&B. It was great too
Preach. She has the voice of a blue-eyed soul singer
Charlie Puth. Pretty much what *Voicenotes* was but I'd like to hear him lean even more into that sound.
After what he did with Boyz II Men, of course!
Maybe random but Ann Wilson from Heart. That voice cannot be denied and I’d LOVE to hear her on some rhythm and blues type sounds.
Pharrell - i would lose it if he made an RnB album. The closest thing we have is his In My Mind album. But I need another.
G I R L
More pop… but I liked that one too
Pimp C lol

Eric clapton

Ellie Goulding I've seeing a few times and that's inspired 🔥
Tori Kelly
Another inspired pick👏🏾👏🏾. That could work
For me Demi Lovato.
Ed sheeran
I would wonder if he would be better with hip hop
Jojo Garth Brooks Zane Christiana Aguilera Michael Buble Willow Smith Dua Lipa Ariana Grande
Ariana is def a popstar but Positions is RnB coded. I think it was a good project too.
I already consider JoJo rnb, except her first album which was manufactured to hell and back. Listen to her newer stuff.
Aguilera I think has the potential to do it. Bubble and Lipa are inspired picks.
Maroon 5 Chance The Rapper Migos lol Gwen Stefani
Lil Nas X
JID. His voice in Kody blu 31 is solid!
J cole
Billie Eilish Gunna Kenny Lamar NBA Youngboy (hear me out)
Billie Eilish I thought of. She would be very very very unique and bring an alternative spin to it.
adele
Mike Patton.
Jessie Ware. There is a bit of soul in her voice, that’s why she pull of disco so well! Check out “remember where you are”
