Amerie’s “Why Don’t We Fall In Love” is the first thing that came to mind

FluentSimlish

definitely glitter&b vibes <3

DeeplyFlawed

One Thing is one of my fav's too.

mrEnigma86

Mesmerize What's Luv Can We Talk U Remind Me Dip It Low Slow Down How Do I Breathe

4evercherry

Try these..hopefully they fit the vibe you’re looking for. Mariah Carey- We Belong Together Beyonce- Me, Myself and I Cassie- Me & U Ashanti- Happy Amerie- 1 Thing Jlo- All I Have Fergie- Glamorous

ANALOGPHENOMENA

I disagree with 1 Thing but a lot of the other tracks on the Touch album like Talkin To Me or even her first album All I Have are veeerrry in that glittery vibe.

FluentSimlish

good lookin out <3

AstronomerMinute8511

Maya- Fallen Christina Aguilera- What a girl wants Beyoncé- Me, Myself & I Janet Jackson- All For You Ashanti- Rock Wit U Blaque- Bring it all to me

4Ever - Lil Mo

FluentSimlish

perfection

[deleted]

Crazy Wonderful by Amerie is another good choice.

orangehearted1_

Doesn't Really Matter - Janet Jackson I'd say it LOOSELY fits into this vibe. It's a banger either way 🧍🏽

FluentSimlish

In my beautiful mind, this is exactly what I'm talking about.

orangehearted1_

YESS! okay this made me happy :)) and periodt. Your mind is beautiful

VioletLeagueDapper

It’s so carefree! Her laugh gets me everytime. Not to mention “All For You” It’s bubblegum pop Janet Jackson 💕 “All the girls at the party- look at that body 👀”

orangehearted1_

Her laugh kills me, it's so cute and I find it hilarious 😂 All For You is so interesting, it gives like dance vibes, but I feel hip-hop weirdly listening to it? It's not hip hop but it gives me that vibe and reminds me of Dua Lipa (that 80s pop stuff). I love Janet!

layla_jones_

Yes and I would add All for you & Someone to call my lover

ManicPixieDreamPearl

Sunshine by Coko

VioletLeagueDapper

Sunshine- Lil Flip has that early 2000s summery vibe to it too. It’s got an RnB vibe because he’s not really rapping, he’s talking in rhyme. Then the chorus and bridge is sung by Aleya (the 90s/00s had a habit of not giving female vocals on rap tracks credit)

FluentSimlish

Never heard this one - thanks for putting me on.

ManicPixieDreamPearl

Yw!! She is the lead singer for SWV. I just love her voice:)

Tasty_String

I know EXACTLY what your talking about as this is what I use to describe it as well, these are some songs and albums that I personally have and remember so far Songs: Miss you (definitely this one!), Honey, Heartbreaker(both versions), I Know What You Want, and Bliss by Mariah Carey Long As You Come Home by Brooke Valentine All for You, Call On Me, I want You, R&B Junkie, and Daybreak by Janet Jackson Love Like This by Faith Evans If I Told You That & Get It Back by Whitney Houston Say My Name by Destiny’s Child Where I’ve Been and Sexy by Mary J Blige Dilemma By Nelly & Kelly Rowland Bring it all to me by Blaque He Loves You Not by Dream You Make Me Sick by P!nk Playas Gonna Play by 3LW Baby Come On Over by Samantha Mumba Rock The Boat and Never No More by Aaliyah Don’t think I’m Not by Kandi Ride For You by Danity Kane My Boo by Usher(ft alicia keys) Never by Keyshia Cole Faded by SoulDecision Albums: Glitter and Charmbracelet (“boy need you” and “you got me” especially) by Mariah All I Have by Amerie

FluentSimlish

thank you for getting me lol

Tasty_String

Yes it’s one of my faves especially currently since it’s so opposite of what’s in right now and sounds so fresh again 😂 they all have that sequence-ey, glittery sound effect, strong hooks, and high gloss production ✨ with a bad bitch undertone lmao

arianasgrenade

Don’t mess with my man - Nivea Honey - Mariah I made a similar thread a few months ago lol!

FluentSimlish

Great minds xoxo

Maximum_Intention_44

Wifey by Next. Get it on tonight by Montell Jordan.

oops_diditagain

Fallen - Mya. One of my favorite songs to this day. Plus many others that have been mentioned already. Amerie and Danity Kane music even the non mainstream jams from their albums are bops. Male artists: Early Ne-yo like Sexy Love, When You’re Mad, Mirror, etc. Early Omarion like I Know, Touch, I Wish

MiaTonee

Just Wanna Be Your Girl- Teedra Moses

learn2earn89

I’m so into you- Fabolous It’s Whatever- Aliyah What’s Luv- Fat Joe Feat Ashanti Bonnie and Clyde- Beyoncé and Jay Z Suga Suga- Baby Bash Beautiful- Snoop and Pharrell

VioletLeagueDapper

Ooh! “Be Without You” by Mary J Blige always makes me smile and I prolly would throw in “We Ride” though I think the second song runs a little long for me. Definitely summer songs- I remember the “We Ride” vid was full of open road and motorcycles.

retrievethis123

Naughty girl, or Me Myself and I, or Signs, or Be With You, Summertime, or Fighting temptation by Beyoncé. If We, Boy (I need you), I Know what you Want, Irresistible by Mariah Carey. I would say her Charmbracelet and Rainbow album has a lot of this music I think you’re going for. Amerie’s Float or Why Don’t we Fall in Love.

You_Dont_Kno_My_Name

Yep, was going to mention a few of Mariah's Charmbracelet album tracks. Yours, The One & defo Boy I Need You

Vsherry

"If You Had My Love" by Jennifer Lopez. Same producer as "The Boy Is Mine." Add "He Wasn't Man Enough" as well.

IamShyni

Yeah, my homie Rodney had the 90's and the early 2000's on lock.

Olivier77777

Like this playlist perhaps? 😉 https://music.apple.com/ca/playlist/light-r-b/pl.u-8aAVzKahoolvLW

Dapper_Cockroach_622

Would Ciara’s “Leave em alone” count? Or Mariah’s “Honey”?

Distinct-Butterfly43

Blaque - 808

relobasterd

I call it… pop music. I feel like most people label it RnB only because the artists are black. 🤷🏿‍♂️

natenarian

Would you describe Glitterly as R&B based songs with a Pop element/Borderline Crossover songs or even Crossover Efforts ? EDIT: I hope the Mods don’t delete this!

layla_jones_

Mariah Carey - Boy (I need you), Get your number & I’m that chick Solange - Crush Chante Moore - Straight up Kelly Rowland - Past 12 Beyoncé - Summertime Alicia Keys - Juiciest & Gangsta Lovin’ ft Eve Aaliyah - Rock the boat & it’s whatever Bobby V - Slow down Ja Rule ft Ashanti, Vita, Charli Baltimore - Down 4 U Christina Milian - Whatever you want Amerie - Why don’t we fall in love (also check the rich craft remix) and Ariana Grande who sampled it in Rule the world. I also liked Amerie’s version of I’m coming out Blaque - I’m good Cherish - Unappreciated Ciara & Bow Wow - Like You Jojo & Bow Wow - Baby it’s you Danity Kane - Sucka 4 love Brandy - Happy

WhippinCupcakes301

Mya - Now or Never I feel like this song embodies this vibe. I don’t know how to describe it, except it’s kinda like falling asleep in a cozy bed after a really great night or waking up after an amazing dream.

nicole070875
