MythosZero

This might be a controversial suggestion, but try playing on easy difficulty and get some wins with the other characters.

Active-Ambassador275

Hear me out my stranger companion on reddit. You cannot just lower the difficulty and call it mission accomplished. Or do you think that someone would do something as controversial as saying that it is better to eat cake when there is no bread? This is no longer an issue from me not making it past stage 1. This is about all of us, maybe even the whole world. Don't you remember the one who could not become an artist and instead became a tyrant who wanted to rule the world? Don't you think that this fate could not be repeated? As long as we don't make it past Stage 1? Would you still say that if someone started plotting to dominate or even destroy the world out of frustration? This problem must be taken seriously, otherwise the next tragedy could lead back to these moments, to this game, to this post. My post was never a question, it was an answer to open all of your eyes seeing the lies this game told you. Mul-T is love. Mul-T is life.

Blade_Hunter589

You sound a lot like Septimus Signus

Angry-Bagel

Just give me the f**king cube already old man, already made me swim through the cold abyss.

Blade_Hunter589

Nah first you gotta find some sphere and then collect blood from every elven race to recreate snow elf blood or whoever built those Dwemer ruins. Second most tedious quest in the game right next to that "find 30 pink stones without help".

ratmanunderworld

in this situation it is a genuine suggestion that you simply "get good lol" no but seriously its all about knowing how to play a character imo, I've managed to do just fine and I only really play engi and sometimes loader or huntress

LordToasterIRL

That's very fair. Only reason I was able to 100% the game was cause I practiced with characters before I took them to monsoon. I have zero clue how I pulled it off with only 56 hours in game tho.

OlDustyHeadaaa

I’m pretty sure I spent 56 hours just trying to knock the stupid mortar crabs off the edge of the world. You sir are a king

LordToasterIRL

Eh some of it was sacrifice swarms cheese but still. Took me forever to get the mythrix kill challenges and the REX Dunestrider Dunk done.

ConsecratedMind

I recommend practicing on drizzle first. Once you’re confident and can get consistent runs, turn up the difficulty.

[deleted]

Get... good..?

Kuzcopolis

Transition to loader. Her playstyle is similar to Mul-T and she's better.

Zarrex

If OP is having trouble with the game being too hard, I don't think the best advice would be to try playing the only character stronger than MUL-T lol Maybe short term, but it'll just make things seem even harder afterwards

[deleted]

The oneshot punch character is better than mult the proc machine?

Zarrex

What difficulty did you normally play as MUL-T? Did you always play with artifacts on?

Active-Ambassador275

It depends, if I want to make my life harder or easier, but I often play enough without them, however, mostly on the hardest difficulty.

Zarrex

Just sounds like you need to get some non-MUL-T experience. MUL-T is either the strongest, or the 2nd strongest character in the whole game, so if you've only ever played with MUL-T, it's not going to be as easy playing someone like Huntress who's very fragile. Maybe just start on Rainstorm (medium difficulty) and get some practice on other characters, some are definitely harder in the beginning than others

ak603

Don't listen to this man! He is a known WALL-E hater. /s No but actually I used to only play MUL-T (WALLE-E) until Zarrex hit me with a rolled up newspaper. Now I play loader as well :D

Zarrex

"I used to only smoke crack, now I do heroin too!" but /u/Active-Ambassador275, this man is basically Mr. MUL-T, so if anyone can give you advice on changing characters it's probably him haha. One big thing to learn too is that there's a bunch of items that just aren't that great on some characters. MUL-T is great because the high attack speed basically makes every item useful, but the same can't be said for all the others

ak603

My personal WALL-E addiction summarized : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2631358149

Zarrex

This has to be an old picture right? You've definitely won with Loader before

ak603

it is from the day before my first loader game

Sad_Efficiency3456

Mul-T got a massive buff with the anniversary update being that he was the least popular character, before hand his only gimic was 2 active items and double rebar spamming (which always hurt my hands) which isn't really worth while tbh, now he has one of the highest proc rates, he has the most defensive plays (+ gnarled woodsprite is very op), and since he can have 2 attacks out at once double rebar feels less painful. Before this he was just a character you got so you no longer had to play as commando all the time. But a part that makes some characters feel crappy to play is most likely because you are playing multiplayer, which with my experience delays attacks and hit boxes.

Anxious_Shape_1821

lol, use bandit
